I don't usually comment but this origami piece was truly satisfying to fold. Once you understand his style of folding you can almost predict what his next fold will be. Additionally, he pre creases sink folds which not many people do. All in all, I found this model very fun.

I may have just folded the ugliest bird in the history of origami--my "blue jay" looks like it's suffering from a fatal genetic mutation. BUT, I learned a lot by attempting it. Will try again sometime. Thank you for the tutorial!

Ooh! I get so close. So far, attempts 1, 2, and 3 are partial successes. Each time I get a little further and it looks better, but I haven't quite figured it to the end. When I finally get it, it's going to feel awesome...and I might be a little mad at my flock of half birdies until that happens, lol.

I have been folding origami every day since early 2016. By the time I wrote this comment it was a year after I started and I had a zoo and the beginning of an insectarium too.

Very cool, your tutorial was super helpful! It didn't take me nearly as long as I thought it would, and although my little bird is a bit rough around the edges, he turned out pretty nice for a first try! I look forward to trying another one. Thank you :-]

For once the pause button and I became friends.. 11:37 I gave up... It would be easier if u could talk and explain it to us what ur going to do and on the hard steps that involves folding the same piece a few times u should do it a bit more slower

Peter Irwin it took me 3 hours, the folds aren’t too hard, it’s just that I took my time because the first attempt I didn’t fold straight enough

seth how high of an intermediate is this? I'm wrrid im gonna waste one of ly last blues, but I don't wanna watch the whole thing before I decide wether or not to start.

I recommend practicing first with paper you don't mind wasting. This is high intermediate / complex.

+Seth Friedman i remembered I could make Robert Lang's chameleon relativley easilly so I should be ok. I'm just gonna wing it on my 6 inch dark blue Kami (pun totally intended) if it comes out well I'll share it. And even if I mess up, ive got 4 more pieces

That book has several authors. I actually did not design the Sopwith Camel. I think it was Marc Kirchsenbaum, or Jason Ku. However I recently designed a Sopwith Camel made with dollar bills. I will make a tutorial soon
