Thank you for supplying part numbers. That will make it a lot easier. I have several new sprayers from Tractor supply and they have a different hose that is a lot smaller, so I will look for an HDX sprayer on my next trip to HD. I enjoy following your travels. I did the full time rv thing back in the late 80's and 90's. I soon moved from a van to a travel trailer as a stand up , inside, shower was high on my list of priorities.

Glad you showed buying a new weed sprayer. Someone may try to save money with a used sprayer. Don't. No matter how well you wash it out, there can still be some chemical residue in it. (We use weed sprayers to kill ants in Texas) You skin is your body's largest organ & can absorb those chemicals. Thanks for the video.

Great video Brian. Funny you posted this right when I am looking for a portable shower. I bought my 1980 Okanagan truck camper this past fall. It's in storage as we get quite a hearty Winter up here in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. I'm chomping at the bit to get out camping this Summer☀️. If I do ok with camping up here my quest will be to head to The Slabs for a Saturday night at the Range. I'll look for the safe quiet area you mentioned for boondocking. OK so I camp with a teardrop trailer ( no bathroom ) and often like to camp where there are no flush toilets or showers. I saw your video and thought, Wow. Went straight away to Home Depot and bought the supplies. This thing works like a charm. Solves all the issues of being able to stay clean. Love it, your instructions were spot on.

There have been times I really needed something like this, especially after my dog rolled in cow pies! I did make a 15 gallon roof shower for myself and gear and had to use it for my dog Jake. Your 2 gallon is perfect for him and will take very little room in the van. Great video! Thank you.

Confirmed! Purchased 2 gallon pump spray bottle $10 + Sink sprayer w/hose combo $12 (both @ WalMart. Purchased the "Quarter Inch, both ends, brass barb" from the plumbing dept of my local hardware store $3 Tip: Just ask an employee to help you get the part you need. Assembled exactly as video shows & works perfectly. I boil a kettle of water & fill the remainder of the pump bottle with water. Just enough water for a person to shower, including shampooing hair.

I bought a 2-gallon sprayer at Wal-Mart tonight for $9.97, and they also had the 4-foot hose & dish sprayer combo for $10.97. I have the fitting here at home, so I didn't need that. Thanks again for making this video, Brian. I don't live in my van full time, but I do a lot of camping, and the ability to have a pressurized water source onboard will be VERY helpful.

I have a new 1 gal. sprayer and will do your conversion to it! Since my haircut is always "high and tight" I figure I can get by with a single gallon per shower! Thanks for the parts and price list! And will spray paint my bottle flat black.

You might want to consider spray painting the sprayer bottle black so when it sits in the sun it heats up faster and maybe even more. Plus, it's less likely to grow algae if any water is left in the spray bottle in between showers. Just a thought. This is an easy DIY, thanks! Even I can assemble this!
