We are a team of two brothers that creates handcrafted knives. From the initial designing and grinding of the steel blanks to the final sanding of the handle, each step of the process is done by hand, which makes every knife that comes out of our shop 100% unique. In all of our blades, we strive to combine the clean lines of modern design with excellent performance, so that your knife will do its job properly and look great in the process.

just an idea, but you could epoxy the wood and flip it over placing it on the entire leather sheet upside down. then run your knife around the wood block when dry. That way there is no chance of getting epoxy on the front and you could get a nice flush cut around the block for minimal or no sanding. Awesome video! thanks a lot!

That would probably work too! I think I did it once that way and it was a bit hard to get the glue to not sleep underneath the leather. But I’m sure if you set it up right it would work as well. Thanks for the input and glad you liked the video!

I totally agree! And when you sharpen a knife for the first time it works really well to remove the wire burr! Sweet video man! Cheers

Good video! Maybe at the glueing stage, you could place an other scrap wood on the leather and then use the clamps, so it will give a more even surface

I use good quality double sided tape to attach to wood block...in a vise a good squeeze to activate the stickiness. Have also used this tape method for concave and convex wood (for gauges) and it has held very well.

what is the compound for? is it just for polishing?
@StarkKnives
@StarkKnives 3 жыл бұрын
It has a better cutting ability than the leather by itself so it enhances the sharpness. It has a grit to it that polishes the edge. 😃
