I lined with baking paper and then greased with butter so it won’t dry out round the sides

It’s a better raising agent for banana bread especially because it needs to aid the structure as well as give a slight rise whilst baking (as against baking powder that is sorely for raising…..and also contributes to the crackled surface typical with most banana breads.

Banana bread is actually a bread. Its classified as a quick bread. Quick bread in the sense that it does have yeast in it, it rather had baking soda. You can check that it out on the internet.

Yes please you can ,,,, but it’ll be better to customize your recipe per toppings prefer eg Oreo cookie banana bread Choc chip banana bread Nuts and raisins banana bread(can contain coconut, almonds And so on….
