How to make beaded fringe for bellydance costumes

I'm using Dual Duty brand Button and Carpet Thread. It comes in white, black, off-white, and grey. I show a close-up of it on my video Bellydance Costume Alteration Part 8, about two thirds of the way through. The thickness of the thread makes the strands strong, and also makes the hex-cut seed beads line up nicer, creating smooth liquid-like fringe.

Thank you for help, however I found that if you have a container with full of beads and randomly go in it with your very thin needle then you get the beads on the needle easier, also using see through / nylon thread makes the work stronger because then they dont easily get cut but the glass beads, which looks better than the plastic ones :) I hope I could explain it well :)

Where do you get the beads from?

Thanks, Ryanandmacy. The number of beads can be hard to quantify. It depends on how long your fringe is, and how long the belt or bra is on which you want to attach fringe. For 4" long fringe with size 11 hex cut seed beads, I used most of a 500 gram bag. It's always better to buy more than you need, because finding matching beads after you run out can be difficult.

it should be dental floss or thread that is run through a wax patty to coat the thread.

It would have been good if you had shown how to thread the needle and how to put it through the fabric. I personally have never done this before so I need directions every step of the way.

Lydeval Thanks I will have to check it out. I have been recently looking for tutorials on this on youtube and I haven't found anything. I am a complete beginner and I know I sound like an idiot, but I am trying to put the thread in the needle and it is impossible. I also don't know what kind of knot to do. I am so frustrated I really need someone to show me every single little step.
