I made these for a dinner party and D&D night. I'm not a great baker and I was apprehensive about whether or not they were going to turn out alright. Everyone loved them and the 12 cakes were gone in 10 mind. One friend of mine ate 3 and passed out on the couch in a honey coma. Thank you for this recipe!!!

Date syrup is also referred to as date honey, and has been used as a liquid sweetener for millennia. It could be a good alternative for you!
