Ingredients
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup (stick) butter, melted
3 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 cup whiskey (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 slices whole wheat bread (in the video I am using 6 hot buns and 2 slices wheat bread)

@@LetsBakeandCookStuff yes it is..you did the right response and yes it is for the bread pudding are you sure about the heat on high for 4 hours my bread would be burnt all over..

Did you say ? cook on the low or the high setting? Also , the real bread pudding has dried fruit in , sultanas, raisins( dried mixed fruit) I notice the Yanks don’t use dried fruit / sultanas in theirs.

Hi and thanks so much for your questions and comments!! I had to look up "sultanas" and, here, we call them golden raisins. Anyway, cook in high 3 1/2 to 4 hours. And you and I agree on the addition of the dried fruit in bread pudding - but my husband doesn't like them so I left them out of this video. I would love some raisins (golden or otherwise) in this bread pudding but, if I want him to eat it too, I have to leave them out. Thanks again!! Mary

No on low...low setting..that is way hot..it will be burnt DONT REMOVE LID ..

We use dried fruit like raisins.
