welcome to my channel guys. so in this video,i used palm kernel oil, caustic soda and perfume, dissolve 1cup of lye to 2cups of water, that's where we get our lye solution and I leave it the next day be I used. in the process I used 1 cups of lye solution to 2 cups of oils, added my perfume mixed then I got my soap. pour it in the mould leave it for 4 hours to hardened then I cut. thank you for watching. you can put any questions under the comment section

You can use, palm kernel oil, bleached palm oil, coconut oil and olive oil.

Please, how can I know that the oil and lye is in the same temperature? And was it the locally made pko that gave you that beautiful brown color?

My dear you can use thermometer to check the temperature of the lye and oil. And yes it's just the locally made pko. But as well you can use any vegetable oil at all for your soap.

@@doreendiamondtv alright thanks... thermometer is quite expensive here. I thought there could be another way to check. Or should I always warm my palm oil before use. I usually get seperation. Am adding soda ash.

@@helenlight5623 okay what you'll do is to do the lye solution and leave it for the next day to ferment before you use for the soap. That way the lye solution and oil will be on thesame temperature. Then you have a beautiful trace of soap.

No I did not add colour. The colour came out from my oil. But you can add a little caramel to earn the brown colour.
