Yes... you can do that if you get a proffessional mold. The mold I used in the video is an improvised mold

Stearic acid can’t be replaced, it is to add more thickness to the candle.

As far as I know, wax derived from crude petroleum oil is paraffin wax and the wax derived from seeds and/or plants is called soy wax. When candles made solely from paraffin wax are burnt, the sides of the candles collapse (melt like molten lava). Adding stearic acid gives it strength so that when the candle is burnt, the candle retains it's shape. The only disadvantage of stearic acid is that it makes the candles opaque. To retain the translucency of the candles, I use wax hardeners (2% of wax as recommended by the manufacturer). Hope this helps.

Generally companies who make candles also make soaps and vice-versa because stearic acid and molds are common in making candles and soaps. Some perfumes/essential oils can be used in candles as well as in soaps.

Candles made with only Paraffin wax will simply collapse when burnt (melt like molten lava). The stearic acid gives strength to it so that the candle will retain it's shape when it burns.
