I was about to spend 80 on paint racks, but this cost pretty much nothing. I love it!

Like it? I love it! Thank you so much for making this seem too easy not to have all my paints organized. Come January, this will be my next WIP. Great job.

Man. For such an old vid this is the easiest and best looking cheap storage. Every1 today makes a vid assuming I have 300$ to spend and a garage plus tons of tools.

Incredible! I'm not crafty at all and I built an extremely nice rack without any difficulty. I ended up making mine 10 inches long and only 3 levels, it still holds 30 paints and fits well on my desk

This is great. With the money I saved making my own rack now I can buy more paints. Thanks!

Great idea. It’s perfect for me as I have health problems don’t want to spend on permeant fixtures in spare bedroom I’m using for studio. Thanks for not talking 30 minutes about yourself and for getting down to business

I've been watching youtube for 2 days looking at paint storage ideas and yours is by far the simplest and most economical to do. This is my kind of build, trash to treasure.. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for this, man. I just made one today. Five levels at 1 and 1/2" wide, and 12" long, holds up to 40 Tamiya/Mr. Hobby sized jars. Super pleased with it.

Made 3 of these, two for my Army Painter/Vallejo/Citadels, and another a bit deeper for my craft paint bottles. Thanks for this ingenius and super cheap idea! Not to mention I have to move them back and forth, on and off my workspace table... er, dining room table... and they handle the weight of even the bigger bottles with no issues. Super sturdy!

I have been researching for weeks for paint racks for all my modeling glues and paints that won't cost a ton or take a big effort. Been frustrated to no end coming up with something and then I came across this video. Bingo! This is the cheap, easy and effective solution I have been looking for. I think it can be expanded to make different type of organizers as well.
@DeviousDungeonsPainting5 жыл бұрын
I am glad that it helped! And you could certainly make racks to fit other hobby supplies as well.

Ha! You ought to get a cut of all the cash you are saving us - but from everybody else 😉 not me because I haven’t made mine yet. Great idea - thank you. I might even add a rail above each with holes for the paints to sit through onto the bottoms.

This is a great little paint stand - easy too. I made a prototype with foamcore to try out. I loved it, so I made a larger one with 1/8" Masonite. Thanks for sharing this design - very handy!

Excellent guide! I've never done anything like this before and it was dead simple. cost me $2 worth of supplies as I used foamcore board from the dollar store instead of cardboard. I was going to buy one of the $15 nailpolish racks, but I wanted my bottom rack to be larger to hold my inks, glues, etc. I made the bottom rack 2" x 3" and started my supports at 2" instead of 1" and just increased from there. Thank you so much.

Awesome Dud! These days almost everyone has Amazon boxes and I’m always thinking of ways to repurpose them & this is a great way. I intend on adapting and making for a lot of all my craft supplies like inks, reinker bottles, alcohol ink, 2 oz paints, & so much more that next time I place a Amazon order for stuff I really didn’t need I instead of guilt I can just tell myself I only did it for the cardboard. .

Just made one tonight - 300mm, with the shelves 35mm wide and 50mm high (very close to yours, but fits the Citadel paints nicely as half mine are Citadel). Couldn't find my glue gun anywhere, but managed with PVA, drops of superglue and duct tape on the inside. Great use of a pizza box lid. ;) Very satisfying, many thanks!

Man this is an awesome video and whether you paint miniatures , models , or do dioramas this is an excellent idea. The creativity crosses over all of the forms of art that I mentioned. Like others I've been looking for ideas for probably the last week. I was about to give up and buy some expensive solutions. I greatly appreciate this video and the only way I can see it getting any thumbs down is by those people who sell that expensive solutions which I am sure they sell enough of LOL

Good to know. I did what Doctor Faust did on his channel and picked up some clear acrylic makeup display stands for like 17 bucks USD and it holds all my army painted stuff plus a few Citadel paints. But I think I’ll make this version for my craft paints since I freed room in my work bench recently.
@DeviousDungeonsPainting6 жыл бұрын

I am very artistic but don't do well with building or ideas like this. It is not only so nice looking, the stone texture paint made it look awesome. Second you made the directions so strait forward and easy for anyone. I could even do it... But I still will ask my husband. He will enjoy it & is more patient! Thanks so much.I have the bigger acrylic craft paints, so he can add the 1/2"! Thanks 💡🎨👩🎨👉👨🔧📐📏✂️😂
