CANDLE MAKING: Today we will get into a video on how to make coconut soy candles and i will answer your candle questions.
1. How to colour candles - Please do not use mica.
2. Heating Temperatures - its all in the video - heat to 70 degrees
3. Fragrance load - i use 9%
4. Fragrance adding - add this in at 45-50 degrees
5. Pouring temps - pour this wax at a very low temp 43 degrees (Celsius)
6. I show you how to send it by insulating in a wrap

Awe thank you lovely. Your so nice and I honestly appreciate every sale I get. I do believe that the experience of getting a candle is so important - like getting a present. I do a lot of testing and love the end result . My house is full of candles

H Rhonda another question in regards to the wax embeds, is it better to place them closer to the wick to get a full melt pool. Thanks

No you don’t need to as the melt pool with the right wick will melt it down regardless where it is

I would like to ask that if the scent is added at low temperature, whether the candles have a hot throw after lighting, because many manufacturers declare that only when adding scented oil at a higher temperature, scented oil binds with wax, because the wax the hotter so it expands more and can bind more scent, and then a hot throw is better when burning a candle. But others claim that at higher wax temperatures and the addition of fragrance, this fragrance will be destroyed by heat, or at least some part. So how is it? Do you have experience? Thank you for every answer.

I see what you mean but the wax I use has a lower melting point and lower pouring point so if you heat it to much there’s limited scent. Mine are very strong but it’s about testing and seeing that it suits your brand. For me I use higher quality oils so I think that also helps with the scent throw

Sorry forgot to answer your question about do I have experience and the answer is yes, this is my full time job and I wholesale to stores, hairdressers, day spas, beauty salons, gift stores and retail stores but I always say I don’t know everything and we all learn all the time.

Mica will smother your wick

Hi there. mica clogs the wick and the wick will not burn right or it will keen burning out. Mica is to thick for the wax and does not work well in candles but it is fine in candle melts as they dont have a wick
