Yo! I've seen many comments on how people want to code but just think that it's too boring, so let me give you a 3 step formula to make coding (or any hard thing) seem like fun!

very true haha, same idea even works with other stuff. I always love to compartmentalize stuff like this whenever possible. if only there were a way to code entirely offline, though, on some device without internet connection to further reduce easy distractions... unfortunately, though, a big part of coding is googling errors and looking up stuff, so getting sidetracked is inevitable to a certain extent.

Hello, im a self taught programmer just starting in this journey. My long term goals is to create notion-like apps. I've mastered python, then I discovered that languages like C allows rhe programmer to manage memory, use pointers, etc. Now Im focusing on learning data structures. Should I learn them using java or C? I cant decide. I have heard that some pleople recommend C to learn memory management and pointers, but im not interested in low level. Can I become a top programmer without knowing memory mamagement and pointers?
@LukeMadeIt
@LukeMadeIt 7 ай бұрын
hey bro! tbh it sounds like you want to build stuff that doesnt even require the knowledge of low level stuff so im not sure if knowing all that is required for you 👀 if youre interested in low level programming then its a bit different 🫡
@felipebarauna166
@felipebarauna166 7 ай бұрын
If you want to get into the low level stuff it's good to learn C, but if you just want to study data structures and be a backend engineer for example, just learn it in a high level language like Python, Java, Go. Studying data structures in a high level language is better because you dont need to worry about memory management

@@LukeMadeIt damn a lot of respect to you for pulling that off. My mind works in such a systematic way that going without a calendar or any form task visualization makes me anxious as hell; it’s problematic but it’s how I work lmao. You should def make a video once u get it figured out. There are so many productivity gurus that cover the topic but I think a majority of them are misleading due to their recommendations being that of apps that sponsor their channel. I’ve found that minimalism works the best such as bullet journaling and an online calendar but I’m still trying things. Appreciate the response.

hey! the thing is that when we cant solve something dont think of it as you being a failure, instead its a learning opportunity 🤔 the whole point why everyone recommends doing personal projects for example is that you get stuck as much as possible because thats when you TRULY grow as a developer you know 👀 so try to change your mind from thinking of yourself as a failure to thinking yourself as a programmer who is just learning new stuff when theyre stuck 🫡
