When I tried to add the grass layer, the grass is black. No matter what I do I can’t seem to fix it. I followed your tutorial twice and I’m starting to think either my computer hates me, this tutorial is now outdated, or I’m doing something. Loading into Fortnite doesn’t solve this issue. Can someone please help me?

Could you give a link to the grass and textures you used? Nothing on sketchfab is working..

Iam not able to put more than 3 layers in my Landscape... When i add 4 different materials.. it starts bugging and not show the material in game and sometimes in editor.

Hello, great tutorial. I am having a problem with this approach and that is when I paint a layer over another, they sort of merge and get their components mixed like grass and color. Do you know if there's a way to fix this?

I think thats something to do with the layer blend you apply to the layer in the paint screen, try changing it to the other version

where can I find good grass textures to import and assign as the grass for my biomes? I am trying to make a purple/cube invasion biome and a red/blood/flesh swamp biome. Anything alien like mushrooms and plants would be cool to add.

You can look on websites like Sketchfab or even try to get some from the fortnite files

@@BelgieUEFN when you say "get them from the FN files" what do you mean? at about 19:00 minuets in you lose me because the (assets?) you choose are unavailable to me in those drop down menus. did you cove this in a different video I should watch?

Is there a way to make the default paints look a bit more 3d, I don't mind the textures, they're just extremely flat. Especially the leaves and the stone path paints.

There are some ways to do it, maybe have a look at how fortnite does it with beaches and stuff like that

Is it possible to create animated grass materials in UEFN.. Like in the full UEV? I cant find the nodes and tools for this in UEFN. And virtual texturing for blending objects to the landscape isnt there... But in original Fortnite both is in the game.

If you mean to make it blow in the wind there is a way to make that happen

@@BelgieUEFN Yes. I mean this... I already found a tutorial to do this with the simple grass wind node. Do you have any idea about the rvt (Runtime Virtual Texture) method?

Maybe try in a new project to see if that works, if it does you should then be able to copy and paste it

It's inside the barrier device inside creative 1.0

It is called Planet ascension but it can only currently be selected within creative 1.0 for some reason it dont appear in 2.0@@pingu8896

I am looking for tutorials for the new customizable landscape material. Is it possible to have more than 7 layers, is it possible to make a paint layer which paints trees? hope, you can help with this as well.

You can have more than 7 Layers and you cant paint trees by having it as a grass type but they have no collision and can't give resources

@Belgie FNCreative more layers doesn't work, or I dont know how. Can you show? Maybe can you make a tuorial on this new material and how to stay organised, where to find the layer data and copy a landscape and change the material and add more than 7 layers? It's still a big confusion to me.I would not ask, if I would not appreciate your work 💪

@@awaisha1972 UEFN is very confusing and i think i miss understood, i don't think you can add more layers to the chapter 4 terrain but if you create your own layer you can have more than 7 layers

@Belgie FNCreative i meant the customizable new terrain, not ch4. It has by default 7 layers, the last one is a nice wet on any layer. But I would like to expand layer on it, simply more.... Like asphalt, and siena brownish mud layer from default landscape (when you work on a fn template like survival island).

@@awaisha1972 Ah as far as i know you can't add layers to already made fortnite terrains but you can make your own and add to it

hey so i have no idea why but my grass keeps changing colour depending on where it is at on my map, sometimes its yelllow sometimes blue and sometimes green, i dont have the grass material either, please lmk if you find a solution

what grass, the tall grass or the flat grass
