Nice job!! Not much dialogue, but good nonetheless. I'm trying to determine how much wood you used in the making of these boards, and how much it would take to make just one board? Some of the species used in this video, especially the black walnut is premium priced where I live. They don't give it away, that's for sure! It would cost me about $100 dollars in wood to make a board like that (I'm guessing), and to sell it to the general public, nobody would even give me the price for just the materials. People are so fickle. Keep up the good work. Enjoy watching your techniques. Cheers!

Hi 👋 Beautiful job you must be proud of making those, I would’ve thought that they would sell very well, Not sure whether you can buy them in Canada or in the states but there is a device that you could set in the side of the chopping boards for sharpening knives on , The device can sharpen metal knives and ceramic knives, it is made by A company called crushgrind in Denmark I do believe, They make ceramic pepper mill grind mechanism , Keep up the great work, And stay safe and wear a air fed mask, Retired English gentleman specialist joiner cabinet maker. Phil from the moulin France.

Gorgeous! If you don't mind a few questions, to what grit do you go on the drumsander and do you do any other sanding? Do you finish at about 1.25 thick? I just subscribed.
@Villywoodworking
@Villywoodworking 2 жыл бұрын
I use the drum sander after each glue up and on the drum sander first drum is 80 grit and the second one is 120 grit and for making end grain cutting board it’s so a time saver but yeah after the drum sander I sand the board from 120 grit up to 600 grit When you make the last cut to make it end grain it’s up to you for the thickness of the board but I like to make around 1 1/2 inches my board

He has a lot to learn. The selection of some of the pieces of wood is terrible. Also, don't put your logo on the face of the board, always underneath. Take the time to sit back and look at the pieces of wood, before gluing together. This is what makes the difference between a okay/good product, and an amazing one.
