I agree but this is one of all the things that he has done that I have to question a bit. It really depends on how tight/concentric the valve stem and valve guide are. The tooling he made was wobbling a great deal during the cutting of the seat. I just wonder if it would pass a simple filling the head with water to see if the valve mating surfaces held. Probably better than it was and just cost him some time and application of his knowledge. And, his rig wasn’t a 100,000(or whatever they cost) valve seat cutting tool/grinder. This guy does amazing stuff with thing most machinist would say can’t do that on a lathe. I watch his channel for inspiration of how to get by and do things they say can’t be done with just a lathe. Great skills.

@@user-gy9qv4ml5y You can get a hand valve seat cutter set for around $500 US, comes with pilots to fit guide and a couple of cutter heads. Cutter heads have a very limited diameter range though. (3-4mm, about 1/8") It depends how worn the valve guides are as to how accurate it will be. The pneumatic/electric semi automatic ones start around $20,000

Any plans for future to make thirty degree and sixty degree cutters to narrow seat? Main problem with very wide seats is they don't clear carbon as seat pressure ends up too low. (area of valve contact) Adakah rencana masa depan untuk membuat pemotong tiga puluh derajat dan enam puluh derajat ke kursi sempit? Masalah utama dengan kursi yang sangat lebar adalah mereka tidak membersihkan karbon karena tekanan kursi berakhir terlalu rendah. (area kontak katup)
