What a great teaching video! Thank you! If I want a different background color than white, I can cut some colored vinyl using rhe solid cut out and apply it before applying the design layer, right?

The edges of the tiles are a bit beveled, so it might be a little tricky to get the vinyl to lay flat on the edges, but I think you could give it a try.

You should be able to create these projects using your iPad and the Cricut Design Space app.

Theses are gorgeous and thank you for the tutorial and free svgs! How come when you type in the height the width automatically changes, but mine doesn’t? Also the outline around my designs when selected shows all gray icons and lines. I feel like I’m doing something wrong in design space. I appreciate all your help!

Are you using Cricut Design Space? If so, there is a little lock icon above the size boxes. If that's locked, the height and width should stay proportional. So, if you change one, the other should automatically adjust.

@@BurtonAvenue I am using design space. I usually unlock the lock, put in the new measurements and then lock it. That’s probably what I’m doing wrong. I thought if you put in measurements while locked that they revert back to original size. Thanks so much for your help!

What setting do you set your mini press to for the htv glitter?

I believe I set it on Medium.

You probably could, but since it's thin, it would look bumpy on the back because it would take on the lines on the tile. You can also try using felt or cork.

is there reason you cut on the setting that you used, instead of the vinyl setting?

Yes, since I used specialty vinyl (which is thicker than regular vinyl) on these ornaments, the regular vinyl setting wouldn't cut through it. I had to try several different settings before I found the one that cut through my vinyl.

I downloaded this file, but can't ungroup it. I'm looking for a file to fit my 2.8" x 3" tiles.

It sounds like you might have imported the PNG and not the SVG. Sometimes, the SVG file will show up as a Microsoft Edge HTML Document or a Chrome HTML Document. You can also look at the size of the files. The SVG is usually the smallest one. I hope that helps

I am new to Cricut and I can't get the project to ungroup so I can change the size of the ornaments. I have highlighted the design and then right click but doesn't give me the option to ungroup. any help is appreciated for this newbie!

Are you sure you uploaded the SVG and not the PNG? You can't ungroup a PNG, so I think that's what might be happening. Sometimes the SVG will show up as a Chrome or Microsoft Edge HTML Document, so if you don't see SVG in the list of files, be sure to look for one of those.
