But have you tried reading Russian cursive with all those s, š, z, ž etc. sounds? It sucks, half of the time it looks like somebody just wrote :" шшшччшшlшш шшччшшoшшb шpuшouu." And you have no clue how to be clear what is "u"(i) or some of those "šhshs" sounds.

The problem of the changement of the age from 62 to 64 is that we (as Frenches) start to work at about 22-23 but a majority of the other countries start at about 25-26 (sorry I may be too much political in here)

@@yjlom Actually most people will have to work at least to 64 anyway (soon, and without the reform we will have to work 43 years which leads you to 64 if you start at 21). The main problem is that this reform stands on the poor, those with the hardest jobs : those who started working early, to save money. This and the promise of a minimal pension of 1200 € that actually turned up to be a complete lie.

1. The British didn't invent the metric system, the French did. 2. Part of the reason why the United States never adopted the metric system is because British privateers kidnapped the guy who was meant to teach us the system. Seriously. In 1793, Thomas Jefferson, then Secretary of State under the Washington Administration, requested that the French send artifacts that could be used to adopt the metric system in the United States, so the French sent Joseph Dombey with a standard kilogram and such. Dombey was captured on his way to America by British privateers, who proceeded to hold him in captivity on Montserrat until he died.

A lot of Dutch food is just different types of sugar. We manage to have the third highest sugar intake in the world, behind Germany. We still are the 15th healthiest country in the world. Germany scores 22nd place.
