This is a step by step recipe on how to make the easiest apple crumble with frozen berries. This dessert cake is very easy to make and doesn’t require any cooking skills. Recipe is inspired by the UK show Friday Night Dinner.
If you have a lot of apples and don’t know what to do with them, you will like this recipe.
Ingredients:
Apples ( any apples will work, peeled and sliced ) - 2lb
Berries ( I am using mix of frozen raspberries and blueberries ) - 2 cups
Lemon ( juice ) - ½ of lemon
Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
All purpose flour - ¾ cups
Granulated sugar - ½ cups
Salt - ½ teaspoon
Unsalted butter ( cold, grated ) - ¾ cups
Mixed and crushed nuts - 1 cup
Rolled oats - ½ cups
Almond meal - ¼ cups
For serving: ice cream

Cooking steps:
Peel, core, and dice the apples
Put layer of apples in the baking dish and cover them up with fresh or frozen berries
Squeeze ½ lemon on top of the berries and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of brown sugar on top.
Make crumble:
In the bowl combine flour, granulated sugar and salt, mix it well together.
Grate unsalted butter in the same bowl ( butter needs to be cold ). With your hands, mix butter into the flour mixture.
Now, add crushed nuts, rolled oats and almond meal to the bowl and mix it all together.
Cover layer of fruits in the baking dish with the crumble mix
Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the apple crumble for about 40 minutes.
Serve it warm with ice cream.
