I’ve been wanting to try fried ice cream for so long! I mean just the name of it makes me so curious! This fried ice cream recipe is fantastic! I don’t have anything to compare it to so I just had to take my husband's word for it when he said “it belonged in a restaurant!” and it was “the best fried ice cream he’d ever had”.
I could have seriously eaten 3 of these things! That hot, crunchy coating paired up with that cold, soft served ice cream is so epic!
This was my #liveunshelled moment! Now I want to know YOURS! Have you tried a new food lately?? If not, what is something that you’ve never had that you plan to try?

I made this recipe today for my Moms Bday. I tweaked the recipe just a bit. I used just cinnamon because I thought the vanilla cookies would make it sweet enough. It came out amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Monique no you didnt!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw the notification and never clicked so fast! I LOVE fried ice cream! the best I ever had was at Shiki in Durham NC. they wrap pound cake around the ice cream ball and then do the breading. crazy good! thankfully I live in Raleigh so i have it pretty often. but I never made it at home before so now look at you...forcing me to finally do it. This looks great and I love that you have 3 components to make up the crust. very nice! you are awesome as always!

Unfortunately I've never tried "fried ice cream" because I didn't think it was possible to fry ice cream 🤔because I thought the ice cream would melt when hitting the oil 🤦🏽‍♀️but you made it look so easy and fun lol I may have to try this. I've tried plenty of your recipes so far and they all came out great so I know this one will

meshai Fields That's why there's a coating and the ice cream is to be frozen solid overnight then it'd be fried for less than a minute for the outer shell to get golden brown. Takes a lot of time but worth it

This was so cool of you! Fried Ice Cream is in my TOP 3 favorite desserts. My favorite sushi place wraps it in cake and then batters it in a tempura batter. Reminds me of funnel cake, yellow cake and ice cream all in one!!!

Drew OGsan OMG YES!! My friend introduced me to a revolving sushi bar around us and they had it! I love Asian food and I had heard about it. I haaaaad to try it and it was so. damn. good. Also, can we point out the sauce they use? It's by far my favorite sauce ever. I could drink that stuff and I normally despise saucy foods. They sell it at a Japanese store near me so one day when I cook a stir fry or something, I'm gonna experiment using it on some stuff

I love cactus, it tastes good on tacos. just take the spikeys off and fry em up :) they taste robust and slightly acidic. Mo, you'd probably like it since we have identical taste buds 😂
