Hate to ruin the party, but you can do the same thing by using a piece of pipe by placing the rebar into it and bend it with another pipe.

It's a good design but using soft metal rebar to bend rebar ? maybe a harder metal for the bending rod ?

yep simple but it only does shallow bends. Swan necks in shape. I want tight hard bends.

In Mexico, these tools have been sold and used for the construction of houses (bending the rods to be made for the assembly of structures) for 50 years or even longer, they call it "grifa" and it is totally normal to see them in buildings under construction, there is nothing new about them

يعتمد على سماكة الحديد .. مثلا اذا الحديد 12 مليمتر تكون المسافة 14 مليمتر واذا 16 المسافة تكون 18. دائما تكون اكبر من القطر بقليل

You really shouldn't be using your grinder that way. That is the number 1 way to have a grind kick back at the operator and potentially cause severe injury I personally witnesses a guy using a grinder that same way around, when it kicked, his face was closer that that of the operator in this video, he was wearing a face shield and safety glasses, yet that grinder with a zip disc kicked back so hard, it cut through the face shield and cut through the bridge of his nose. Blood was gushing from his face so much, tht when he tried to pinch his nostrils together to stop the flow of blood, the blood bubbled up and shot out of the wound.

@Sam Sue Metal snobs don't like using rebar because it's poor quality metal meant for reinforcing concrete. I use it all the time on our farm and rarely have a problem just make sure to clean it good before welding and realize that it's low quality metal.
