How to Make EVP LOUDER using Compression in Audacity

This video shows how to use compression and amplification to create a nice LOUD and even volume in your EVP. People will be able to hear your EVP much easier, and will make your audio sound more professional.

I have a question. I did a session with a voice recorder on on phone, it was a 20 minute session I caught a response, I cut the recording to be able to email it to myself and mess with my audio on my pc. I forgot what audio app Im using I will try the one you suggested but listening on my computer to my audio and I can no longer hear the evp, when I listen through my cell phone using earbuds I clearly hear a male saying something. I'm not sure what I should try.

Does this work for spirit apps too? Do I do the same thing your doing for spirit app recording?

I don't see why not Casey. You have to be able to record your session on any device, whether it is on your phone or Tablet. Once saved, and transferred to your PC or Lap Top, Audacity can open any Audio File for you. Is this what you mean? So, you can record using certain Ghost Boxes or even a simple Digital Recorder, which can be purchased reasonably. But, you have to have a saved audio file on your device so you can use Audacity in order to refine it better.

+Terry Ashton yes. I actually figured by stretching the speed, the pitch, or the Tempo out. Like -20 the speed & +20 the pitch or reversed - pitch + speed. Or just moving the tempo slowing it down.

Terry Ashton I finally have an EVP recorder for my PSB-7 and have figured out to remove the noise however when a voice talks there's a squeaky noise with it and I'm trying to figure out what to do to remove that squeaky noise off of the EVPs. May I ask for your advice? Thanks.
