Here's a feather cane - in turquoise because I love the colour - done in the style I did a few years ago on this channel which is DEFINITELY based on the one I learned on the now defunct(?) Polymer Clay Central site, by the always awesome Donna Kato.
Feather canes make great leaf canes, too, and you can get great fern like effects. Just use some fun leaf colours. Or for much more whimsical feathers, use sections with dots, lines, solid colour blocks instead of just shading units like I did.
I'm using Premo for this one and it's a bigger cane, coming in at closer to 200 grams (8oz?) by the end.
