I think he just bought it too late. Torch doesnt last as long as liandrys if im not mistaken.

if i may ask, why dont you go burst against squisy targets i feel like liandris is worse in this scenario since burst items like death cap would deal more dmg? as a third item compared to liandris

Because shaco's ratios aren't great. Liandry's gives you more damage output overall, than the burst you would get by just going high ap items.
