Tandoori roti refers to an unleavened flatbread baked in a clay oven called a tandoor hence the name tandoori. But the gluten free roti needs a bit of baking powder to make it soft. It is half cooked on tawa and half in oven. The tandoori roti is slightly thicker than the regular roti and has crisp edges and soft center just like you get whole wheat tandoori roti in the restaurants.
These are best eaten with in few minutes of cooking. Since as they cool they become chewy.

1cup gluten free white chapati flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder (omit if making with wheat flour)
1 tbsp unflavored yogurt
water as required
1 tsp oil
butter or ghee
