Materials needed - Sock, felt, waste card, glue, ribbon, button or decoration

I've been looking at lots of videos on how to make gnome shoes, i'm so glad I found your tutorial. Thank you, good to know you can make them with everyday things and no need for fancy things.

Hi James, I made this video for a group of ladies I knew .... We were making Gnomes over a zoom group and they wanted legs and feet ... this was the first time I had made these legs so I was just improvising ... If I was making them again I might change how I do it. I just say it as it is! Crafting for me is just fun ... no stress and if it doesn't work the first time then you try again :) Keep crafting :)

Thank you ... I teach a craft class and last year it was via zoom, so I really made that video to help some of the craft class :)

Your tutorial is absolutely fabulous! I love that you use items that you find around the house instead of having to buy special things! I hope your fingers are better, I burn myself all the time, haha. I actually just bought some finger covers at a dollar store, but haven't tried them yet, so we'll see if they help me. Lol

I teach a craft class, so sometimes I put up tutorials if a student has missed a lesson ... These worked ok, but I think I would make them differently if I was making them again :)

Thank you so much! Was nice you included the sizes of what to cut. I see so many short cuts though, to speed it up. Example: instead of cutting so many pieces for the boot - 6 total - use corrugated cardboard, the ring for the back of the boot (ankle) is the same size as a TP roll. Once making this, you'll see other shortcuts too!! 😉

I felt for you there.i done same and burnt my finger.i keep a bowl of iced water now when glueing.put so.e ice in only small bowl for dipping your finger in.RELJEF STRkghg away lol 🇬🇧

I haven't perfected using a glue gun, this video was done to show my craft class how to make the boots (I have a craft class in Bangor)

Good idea filling it with paper very cost affective.as making things here in 🇬🇧 things are expensive.as no dollar store etc thank you .and I can hear a hint of Irish accent?? Thank you bangor northern Ireland 🇬🇧

I think on those ones I used Kitchen Roll ... but I've been using newspaper ... anything really its just to fill out the boot ... I'm in Carnmoney ... though from Belfast :)

If you cut slits at the top of the felt for the back part it will fold inside the tube better... Also using a toilet paper or paper towel tube would have been much easier instead of making the tubes the way you did...then stuff the tubes with fiberfill instead of a paper towel, and tape it over with masking tape. I seen someone make there shoes that way, and its much faster, and still stable. Nice tutorial, but way too much work than it should have been...

Hi Mary I know, I was using a webcam attached to my laptop, I'm not sure what was wrong. I get better results with my phone. :) O think I need to invest in some new equipment :)
