One tip I'll add: make sure you turn your microwave power level down when melting candy melts! Half (level 5) worked for mine.

When you're letting the excess candy melt drip off, it wouldn't be wasteful if you let it drip onto a food safe surface because you can eat or reuse it afterwards!

Defiantly wanted to do this before halloween and hope i can find some straws to do so or more coloured chocolate melts👀👀 had a hard time finding just cake pop sticks and straws. THANKS FOR THIS❤️ never knew it was this easy until I watched the first one you did of cake pops🤗❤️

Another thing with extra "batter" is just make them into the cake pop balls and freeze them. I keep 2-3 flavors frozen so all I have to do is defrost stick and dip, makes last minute treats easy and you can't tell the difference in taste or texture.

My favorite vegetable oil to add fluidity to melted chocolate is Crisco.

Love the video! I do have a question, so when I make cake pops they end up falling off the stick even though I dip the stick in melted candy and then stick them into the cake pop. Any advice on what I could be doing wrong? I've been using wooden barbecue sticks and keeping my cake pop size about a tablespoon big if that helps.

Maybe less frosting? And refrigerate them longer.

When I tried to make these I had issues with the cake pops not staying on the stick and falling apart once I dipped them in the melted candies. Do you have any suggestions on how to prevent this? I'd also like to know how long you let the pops chill once you put the stick in? I love your decorations and was attempting to make these for a halloween party but it went very very badly to say the least lol

I don't have an issue with the balls falling off because the dough should be a bit firm. The dip the stick trick with the melted chocolate always works for me!

Hey I really loved you’re video. I have a question why is every time I try to dip out my cake pops to the melted chocolate the cake falls off the stick even if I thinned out the candy melts?

Dip the stick in the melted chocolate and put it in the pop and let them dry before you dip them. It acts like a glue.

That is all trial and error with how cold your cake pop is and how hot your chocolate is.
