Great job Pam Many moons ago, my best friend and I were experiencmenting with making homemade paper. Our process a little different than yours, we added tiny bits of fabric and drier lint. the lint would it helpe make it more like paper not cardboard and you could bend the paper. Without the fabric and lint, our paper was very brittle and would break easy both helped with color as well . We added our leaves, flower peddles to the pulp. after we sponged as much of the water out, we flopped did on an ironing board and ironed not only to dry it, but to make it as thin as we could. We could write on ours, made cards, gift cards, stationary etc. We even bought power that turned our paper Acid free. we had so much fun with our creations.

@@burienzoo And yet we all survived those paddlings. Saw a funny meme on the internet yesterday. "Kids are too soft these days. I died when I was 5 years old and my mom told me to walk it off." I'll be laughing about the truth to that for a long time to come. And a second meme. "We didn't have play dates when we were young. Our parents just threw us out of the house first thing in the morning and told us not to come back until the streetlights came on."

acrylic paint cleans up SO EAAASSSYY!. Not from paper, or soft surfaces (clothes, towels, etc...) but from sinks, countertops, pallets, it scratches right off when dry, or run hot water over it, as it is water soluble.

It has been years since I made paper. I do have a deckle etc and I used an old blender and a dish pan for my slurry. I cut up some purple raffia and put in lavender buds. The purple leached into my water it came out the best batch! There is alchemy involved. I like the idea of drying on a sheet for less pattern. Then I wondered what would happen if I flipped it on a vinyl placemat. 🤔🧐 Bwaahaha

Thank you for this and all your videos. Have been binge watching them. Last night I saw you organize your threads, brought back memories of doing this with my aunt 55 years ago! She was a seamstress for a designer that would sew the samples that then would go into production. She did put tape on the threads, now 55 years later, I can tell you not a long lasting good idea, tape is yellow, brittle, threads are still good, believe that! The spools of thread have a little slot on top to put the thread thru it and keep it from making all those birds nests. You brought me back in time and always teach me something! Your little Sunny is adorable and I love all the sound effects of the rest of the zoo.

You can also put the leaves 🍃🍂🌸 direcktly in the pulp if they are brigth in color , they will float to the top of the pulp, but then they have a little bit of pulp on top, and sometimes if they are in a bigger sides it helps to keep them stuckt to the paper, when it is dry. You can get acrylic color off your clothes or zink, but you need a lot amount of COLD Or handwarm 💦🚿🚰 and some clear dischsoap. If it is clothes it is good to put the dischsoap direcktly on the spot, after rinsen all you could get off with only wather put the clothes with the dischsoap in a plastick bag that are not transparent.Bind a knot on the bag (only one ideam in each bag) leave it for some hours, and wash it in your washing mashine on 15˚- 30˚. Remember no warm water for the clothes because it will fix the color to the strings in your clothes, and get them ruint. And also remember to set the program to more than one rinsing, because the dischsoap will make a lot of foam and you shall not rinse the dischsoap off, before putting the clothes in the mashine and you shall not ad any soap to this program. You can also do this after rinsing the spot: Before you put the clothes in the handwarm water you have to prep. The spots with clear dischsoap, and let it work for about 10 -15 minutes. After that you let the clothes soak in the water with the dischsoap to the next day. The next day you put it in your washingmashine as above. If it still have some spots after that ,you give it one more try with dischoap on the spot, put it in the bag. Leave it for 24 hours, and then wash on low temp.˚ without any added soap to the program. If there are more color on the clothes, you dont let it dry, but give it a wash on normal temperatur for the clothes and with your normal mashinesoap. But dont let staint clothes dry compleat with the acryllic on. If you are not in a place or situation so you can change clothes, then just ad some kind of soap on the stain(handsoap are normal without much color, and workes fine for this) If you drink chocelate and get staint with that.. you can also use the metode to that. ohhhhhhuuuuu my screen shows a lot of red underlining on my writing, so I realy hope you understand my message 😱🤔😲🙄😵🙃🙂 Anyway remember the dischsoap have to be clear or at least white. Otherwice you might end up with stain or full colored clothes in the color that the dischsoap are. 😱 If the acryllic is on a paintbrush or plate 🍽 paintbrushes soak in dischsoap without wather. Plates and zinkhandles you just use a kitchen or pot sponges 🧽 dischsoap and warm wather an scroup away. If you soak even old accrylic plates in warm dischsoap, the acryllich will come of like rubber you can peel of the plate. Thank you so much for your video 🌸🙏🏼🌸 LOVE AND LOTS OFF CRAFTING OR CUTTLINGNESS And Happiness with floffy furry and feathery friends. 🐶🕊🙂🙃❗️❗️💗💗💗🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷 🤲🏼💗💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

The frame/wire mesh is called a "deckle." I've done this b4, loved the experience, didn't know then what to use the papers for, still have them. Will have to do this again!

This is soooo cool, I must try to do this! I will need to get little bunches of flowers from the grocery store to dry petals n leaves... nothing but grass all around my apartment. But that’s okay n the screen was so simple to do... thrift store here I come and asking a favor of the handyman for a little screening!!! Thanks so much for sharing... you are so awesome!!!

Hi Pam, I'm a relatively new subscriber and I LOVE ❤ you and your videos! What a personality, seriously...you make me laugh and learn at the same time. I look forward to your videos...I've learned so much from you! I can't wait to make some paper! I especially love your carefree and 'do it/few rules' attitude and approach. Much love and thanks for the time and effort you put into your videos for us! ❤☮🙏🏻

Thank you Pam - such fun to watch and I have been waiting for this because I have wanted to make paper since my hippie days in college (1970 and onward) so I think I'm finally going to do it. You make everything fun.

Thank you Pam for this tutorial. At what point did you add glitter in your other papers! Before or after drying, or mixed into the pulp. You inspire me, and brought my inner child back to life.
