We found and drilled an old bowling bowl and it was amazingly easy. Run your tubing up thru hole and attach other end to your pump in the water and turn it on. Water flows up thru bowling ball and cascades over and is simply beautiful.

And now I’m growing in cattle pods and picking green beans I have them up on cinderblocks, and when my back gets a little tired, I just lean.

I use turkey basters when I’m replanting and I don’t wanna splash water everywhere. It works real well with succulents and tiny plants. Glad to see there’s another use for a turkey baster other than sitting in a drawer L O L!❤❤❤😂

This is soooo much fun! I like to make red water for the hummers to feed theme they are adorable ❤ and I love them. My husband was teaching me how to put a fountain together and set it on spraying, and little hummers were already to get under the water the😂😅😂🎉🎉🎉🎉 You are fantastic!

Thank you for sharing this idea! After murdering a pop bottle, I decided to try and make one with a bottle that was a little more sturdy. I grabbed a clear, square bottle that originally had distilled water in it. I left the turkey baster intact, and used a large blue straw that turned out to be just the right length. It works beautifully. I love it! Still waiting for the hummers to find it. I'll grab some pics when they do.

Enjoy watching your videos. You're such a good teacher Robbie! Found you on KZfaq back in 2019 making hummingbird water fountains and sharing all the happy little birds bathing. I bought supplies many times and still have supplies for the fountains in my garden stash along with yards of tulle. That tulle trick saved my fruit trees from neighborhood rodents and they moved on. 😄I was so happy but the neighbors weren't so I shared the tips with them. They thought I was crazy but soon found out it works. Since then have moved from SoCal to Southern Utah which destroys plastic within a year so I am now slowly replacing them with the Behlen tanks. Since plastic doesn't last here I am going to have to look into other alternatives that is after I finish setting up the drip irrigation tubing to shade my plants and baby fruit trees from the scorching summers and high winds along with finish the composting in place! Worms do not like sand! 😂

Oh thank you Robbie and Gary! I spent several hours yesterday upgrading my birdbaths because the summer heat is really here! I was so sad that I didn't have one of the bubbling water globes for my hummers. Then this pops up on KZfaq! WOW! I have all of the components for several water fountains but currently cannot afford the little pumps. I found so many wonderful thick bowls, beautiful marbles that are opaque and the size of small apricots. I cannot wait to make them!

Thank you for these ideas Robbie. I found a neon plastic snack tray set, centered the bulbs and hoses and stuck them on top of assorted neon 5 gallon paint buckets. Really works nice as a self-recycling, non-electric system! Finally! A put anywhere birdbath fountain that doesn't drain out.

I’ve been wanting to make a birdbath. I soda maybe 1/year. Two months ago I had a stomach ache and remembered my mom used to give me 7-up, so bought a bottle. Finished it up last week and voila! Your Amazing video popped up to show me how to use my one bottle to make this awesome bird bath. The pump is coming today and I hope to make it this weekend! First will check out Walmart’s basters as the bulb on mine seems a little small. Thank you! ☺️ 🐦 🤞🏽 💦 🛀

It was so worth getting to the end to learn how to turn down my solar fountain! I made two waterers with the foam on top, but don't care for the way they look. NO birds have come to either fountain, but I don't have flowers blooming, yet. I love this idea and will try it next. Thamks again for sharing.

@@jo-anndalaimo9096 I know Robbie is big on not ordering pumps made in China. Just because if something happens and returns are or can be a hassle. I ordered off of Amazon. Every pump, darn near, was made in China. I did make the decision, however, to order a floating solar pump with a glass top. And I love it. It comes with everything you need to keep your pump running all the time. I’m in Oklahoma. So the heat and Sun are an issue. Algae. Which is not a bad thing. I just make sure to add cold water every morning and if wind has been blowing I double check in the afternoon. Adding ice cubes is another one of Robbie’s favorites. So far it’s not had hummingbirds. But other bigger birds use it and that’s good enough for me. I do keep a HB feeder with just water for them to drink. I wasn’t sure if it would work. But they do drink from it also. Just change water daily so it is fresh.

Great idea. Using a large drill bit will probably yield better results in the baster. I actually have an old Rio 50 submersible pump laying around so making this DIY today! I think Dollar tree has Turkey Basters.
