How to Make Kingdom Hearts 3 Mickey's Keyblade EVA Foam Cosplay Tutorial

Hey guys I'm back again with another HD-Foam build. This time I created Mickey's Keyblade from the hit video game Kingdom Hearts! I will go through the entire foam build process using my line of HD-Foam and Foam Clay. Because it is a foam fabrication build it's lightweight and conventions safe. I used a mix of rattle can and acrylic paint to bring it to life.

Bless your friends for not giving up until you made a keyblade. Mickey's keyblade is so beautiful, and all the Mickey and Aqua cosplayers are going to love this. I made a very fast Kingdom Key build a few years ago so it was fun to see your process on building keyblades.

I have been working on a Keyblade the last couple of days and found myself a little stuck on how to execute certain elements. This video has given me some ideas to make it look better and how to build out some of the more complex pieces. Thank you sir!!

Ahhh thank you! I starting to get into making my own cosplay pieces and I had a ceramics project back in highschool where I decided to make a keyblade, I’ve been wanting to make it into an actual cosplay piece for awhile now so this really is going to help!

This is why i continue to make props, you encourage me and so many others to keep learning and crafting. I was wondering if you could possibly do Tidus's Brotherhood Sword from FFX? I thought the way to do it would be be to sculpt it out of clay they make a resin mold of the sword so that we could put LEDs inside of it to make it glow.

Goddamn that is so cool ! So I know it's a video that is 4 years old but if you see this message do you think any props (weapon in particular) that you did would be usable in a larp environment ? like is the foam soft to hit somebody with it and would it be able to withstand multiple hits ?

Thanks! My foam is soft and strong But, if you are looking at getting into larp the y usually have a certain type of foam they use for boffers so you'd want to check with local gaming groups.

Unfortunately my HD-Foam is only sold in the US but Poly Props overseas sells foam. Not quite as good as mine but still better than floor mats
