Hi friends!
I hope you like this video and find the patterns easy to use. I worked hard to perfect this pattern so every headband would be a perfect fit! I recommend using thicker fabric or interfacing for light-weight fabrics.
Edited: I didn't expect this video to be used by so many people! I am forever grateful for all the love and support! My original pattern had a lot of viewing problems for many people so I wanted to re-do it in better quality and make it easily accessible on Etsy (set at $1). Yours is the very best tutorial for sewing knotted headbands!! I saw many, and none is filmed with the clarity of yours, nor they are as clean as yours. Others look like a mess when using the hot melt glue!

Hi there. Soooo glad I found this video. Best one after searching so long. thank you for the pattern. How far from the tip do you make the slits please. Also... If I move the seam from the side to the centre...wont I cut the stitching when I make the slit?

It was not stretchy. I don’t think I would recommend stretchy only because with these, you want them to have structure. I would use 100% cotton for best results.

With the slits, how do you deal with the fabric fraying?

Just use fray check if you’re worried about it becoming a fray ball like a brocade does.

I’m not sure sadly… if a normal headband you would get at say H&M in the women’s section would fit, then yes! But small children, maybe not.
