I love making these and also like the leather best! When I have it set I add a bit of clear nail polish on the knot to make sure it doesn't come loose. Love you choices!☺

I know this video is from last yr but I'm glad I found it. All over Etsy they sell these bookmarks between $12-$23 ( plus s/h) & I can't afford all that! I have a bunch of beads and findings I can use. I only need to buy the leather. Ty, ty, ty!!!

girl thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment and yes i seen those prices and was like yeah i dont think so no matter how cute they r lolol. And u can use any type string not just leather for crazy cheap and make a bunch with ur own bead stash, have fun making them. Mucho hugs, Anna

If you are doing them for a gift and not sure of the length do you just guess or is there a length that is pretty common? Would love to see a jewelry tutorial using the leather. Thanks!

Pat Hickman Hello Pat, when 8 give these as gifts I tend to know the size of the planner, travelers book or bible. So it is hard to say if there is a common size because you don't want them to short or to long. It is best to find out the measurements in advance. muchi hugs, Anna

Thanks so much for these last two tutorials! You are a fantastic teacher! You spoke of metal and possibly tarnishing. I have been dying to ask you this question: is there ANYTHING we can do to prevent tarnishing on the costume jewelry we make? Or even the stuff we buy? Any kind of spray or sealer? I hope so!

Judy Conover hello Judy, I wish I could say there was a miracle spray but unfortunately there isn't. but there is a temporary fix that I do on jewelry I buy that is costume jewelry and I use clear nail polish on my necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings. I hope that helps a little. I need to do some more research too I love my costume jewelry and I hate it when they tarnish. mucho hugs, Anna

where do you find those adorable colorful ones you had on your planner? Thanks for this...I have some fun beads I could do thsi with! you just lay them in the planner and they stay put???? Sandy

521LakeStreet hello Sandy, most of those colorful plastic beads are from hobby lobby they have a great selection that have bigger holes. And yes they totally stay in there and that us because I have a bunch in there lol and also my planner has no space for movement if anything lol. I keep it fluffy hahaha. mucho hugs, Anna

Bitar Fatina Sorry I do not remember what size it was but I believe I picked up that leather recording from Michael’s the multicolored one and I would have picked a thinner version as opposed to super thick and when I buy cording I just always grab what is the thinnest for the beads that I have I hope that helps a little bit LOL sorry about that
