My circuit is working in opposite...like though there is high light condition the led is still glowing.. What should i do?

You should recheck the circuit, especially the LDR and the resistor. Maybe you connected the LDR in place of the resistor.

@@eleobo hey thanks! I did it. But do you know why we should use 5-9 volts? What was this calculation based on? And why do we should use potentiometer instead of unvaried resistor?
