I was wondering the same thing. What prevents the shot from just rolling out of the pocket? Normal,slingshot the shot gets pinched in place with thumb and index finger.

I think he lost his sight when he was very young, but it was a long time ago when he told me about it, and I can't remember exactly. (hella nice guys btw, to watch and hear them play/sing together was a 'life' experience, and no, I'm not blind, in fact my eyes are rather good:), in fact, "sniper" good......ex XVIII Airborne Spcl Warfare "SKYDRAGON" here- back in the VN era.

True. And be very careful with your fingers. I was cutting cherry wood base shoe (1/4” round) on my mitre saw and the blade tooth caught a knot in the wood and pulled my fingers into the saw blade and shredded my left index finger pretty good. The homeowner I was installing moulding for had to rush me to the hospital where I ended up staying overnight and had to have about an inch of my finger amputated. Sucked. You never think it’ll happen to you until it does and it happens so fast. Fractions of a second. But I do realize that’s (obviously) not a mitre saw, it’s an angle grinder and that blade won’t catch like a 90 toothed mitre saw blade would and I don’t think it’d shred your finger in a split second either but still. Safety first. God bless.

The leather piece has string tied through it which goes over the vertical bolt.. The plastic fork thing pushes the string up off the bolt.. Hope this clears it up for you..

I've never built a "slingshot rifle" like this but with a regular slingshot the further you pull the pouch back, the more acute the angle of the pouch. At that length it is probably a narrow enough angle to grip the BB... In fact you can see how narrow that angle is at 4:43

The string pulling back on the pouch causes each side of the pouch to pull towards each other and " wrap around " the ball bearing holding it in place.

Or make the rubber shorter.. 😉
