I just tried making my first soap, but I feel like I've ordered a bad base. I never got my base to stay liquid for even a few seconds. As soon as I stopped stirring the surface would thicken, and it would stick to the bowl. I tried heating it for a few seconds, then stirring it up, for at least 10 times. Eventually I just dumped it with clumps and all into the mold, done trying to make it work.

I don't have a microwave and I'm thinking of doing what I've seen people do when they melt the hard butters. Double boiling. Pot of distilled water. Being to boil and then on low heat. Put bowl or over top of the pot and let it melt that way. Stirring often. This way it doesn't stick to the bowl or pan.

I watched a Brambleberry video which advised to run a cool fan on the soap for about 3hrs. The sweating occurs due to the extra glycerine added to the soap for melt & pour purposes. Glycerine is a humectant which draws moisture from the air.
