Ultimate Turkish breakfast; Turkish one-pan scrambled eggs with tomatoes, butter, onion, peppers, a bit of spice and lots of melted cheese served with crispy, warm bread!

• 3 tomatoes
• 2 green peppers
• ½ onion
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp chili flakes
• 2 tbsp butter
• 50 g Turkish sucuk
• 1 tbsp chili paste
• 100 g grated Turkish kasar cheese or mozzarella

Just a note that this version is a bit more luxurious version of the more traditional recipe dish as it contains additional ingredients such as sucuk and cheese. That said, one local version of menemen called "Cakalli Menemen" has cheese in it, so the recipe may differ depending on the region.

I just love that you went into your garden to get the chilies for this recipe! Love the butter melting shot and then the chilies being added to it. So satisfying to watch! Great cutting board with your name on it too! This recipe looks super delicious and is beautifully photographed! 🌷🌼😊

You always get such good shots of the food from the peeling of the tomatoes to the melting of the butter. I grew up eating chorizo almost every day... the best kind in my opinion is from Spain...😀 5:23 the sausage going in looks really nice. 6:56 you must like it spicy with all those chili flakes...🔥 That is a great breakfast...Not hard to make at all....I just need a tall Gin bloody mary to go with it. Until recently I wasn’t aware that Butter plays such a crucial role in Turkish kitchen. Which is great, because I love butter and Turkish food 😊

Butter is really important in Turkish kitchen, some dishes are even considered containing too much butter according to some foreigners. (Iskender kebab, butter kofta etc..)

Yes, absolutely. You can even use canned peeled tomatoes, I just wanted to show it with fresh tomatoes :)
