How to Make Modern Float Frames for Cheap!

In this video I show you how to make modern-looking float frames for just $1.
First off, the credit for this idea goes to StoreeOfMyLife. Check out her channel for more good ideas.
This idea uses normal frames from the dollar store. The floating frames are created by taking off the cardboard back of the frames and then taping the photographs to the glass directly.
These floating frames look very clean and modern, just like the versions that are much more expensive.

Had a thought. If you purchased 2 frames you would have 2 pieces of glass. Put the picture between the glass panes and you would then not see the tape on the back of the picture.

I have used gorilla silicone and glued glass into frame with it, I'm thinking of experimenting with seaglass pictures, I think it will work well.

I just mounted a picture between two pieces of glass. I had no backing so I used tape to out line where the pic goes...good work..

Maybe doing hot glue in combination with a stronger glue like silicone glue or super glue would help, that way you get the quick drying from the hot glue and the strength of the other glue

You did a great job! A quick question: the frame you bought is glass or acrylic? Do you think acrylic will be okay? I have a big frame but it is acrylic not glass.

This could be done in 10 minutes. Maybe 15 if you're being extra careful about measurements!

What if you bought two frames and used the glass from one frame as the back of the second frame? If you did that you could put the tape on the back of the picture.

instead of the picture? I'm sure, but you'll probably have to find a stronger adhesive, I think it would be a little too heavy for the double sided tape
