Don't do fade cuts. Especially because it makes the audio fade away, making it seem more unnatural because you are cutting out excess parts that fade away. Do jump cuts

Face to face interaction skills are key. Its the same in our painting business, every quote I attend is basically selling myself and building trust. I am trying to instill this quality in my own son, and its gratifying to see the results. If a young man can master communication and pair that with a positive outlook he will go far. If I moved to your city I'm building a different color house than TAN or BROWN! An putting in an application to work for you!!! LOL All the houses in that one subdivision are tan or brown. Blake I was in the lawn care biz for several yrs, I Enjoy watching your videos, I was in high end sales all my life before lawn care, being a salesman helped me start off in lawn care. I enjoyed this video because some of the principles you talked about help me dominate my area. I had the number one lawn care in my area it was HARD WORK but so much fun!! Have fun enjoy life!!

I'm in the same age boat he's in. People are always very surprised to see that its a teenager that shows up to the door instead of a 50 year old guy. And many have told me that I will go very far in life and will always be ahead of the crowd because Im already driven and not afraid to work and work hard! I dont complain and I always do the best that I possibly can, even if I've never done something before and not sure how it will turn out. It seriously shows and pays off. You are your best friend and your worst enemy. Its all in how you portray yourself, and of course the quality of work that you do. Thanks so much for the vids guys! Its always fun to watch and learn from the best. My business is just finally starting to take off and its so nice to be able to come back to this stuff and pick up the fine details to use later. Very cool video! I'm pumped now after watching this! Love it :) I am new This will be my first full season doing lawn care. I don't have any zero turns or walk behind mowers. How do you know when it's time to get that stuff? Right now as it is if one possible customer would call wanting me to do a big yard I wouldn't be able to take it on. Any thoughts /advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

from phx az we don't have many huge grass patches out here but when we do we use 2 honda clutch mowers. it is still a pain having to dump the grass but it gets the job done. may not be the best answer you get but thought i would chime in :) good luck!

Your parents must be so proud Blake! I've always been impressed with your humility and clean language and how you present yourself. I hope you are still managing to get your continuing formal education in. It will (When used and implemented) give you a competitive edge over your competition. Even one tool learned I'm college can help your business run at greater efficiency and increase your profit margins. Ask me about the tool I learned in my senior year. The tool is called a S.W.O.T. analysis which EVERY person can and should be utilizing to make sound business decisions. here's the clue: "STRENGTH (S), WEAKNESS (S), OPPORTUNITY (S) and THREAT (S). Using this simple analytics will help any business person arrive at a sound business decision in a relatively short time. All you need is a sheet of paper with the above four identifiers and less than an hour and you will be amazed what brainstorming and capturing will produce! One of the blessings of this tool is that it can be applied to decisions needing to be made in your personal life. I've asked a number of fellow college grads over the years if they were taught about this tool. Sadly my University (Regis University, Denver, Co.) has been the only.one that mentions it in their business curricula. "Keep shining Blake...this world needs more light!"
