Today I want to share with how I make moon water! Moon water is water that is charged with the energies of the moon. It can be used in tea, baths, cleansing, spells, watering plants, or to include the element of water in a potent form in your rituals!

hello! I'm a baby witch and I was wondering if you could tell me if what I did was correct, as i know doing the wrong methods can lead to bad outcomes. So I did some meditation and wrote down my intentions (I'm doing this with crystals and moon water) and because I don't have sage to use for cleansing I used candle wick, I have a pack of them (their the sticks that go in candles) and I cleansed the jar and then put water in the jar and put a lid on it, I also cleansed my crystals. I cleansed my stuff with the smoke of the wick when I blew it out and now they're both by my window and I see the full moon. My main concern is, is the way i cleansed ok? Like does it affect my intentions of moon water? Thank you :)

A baby witch is a term some people use when they're only just starting out and don't feel comfortable calling themselves a "fully-fledged" witch yet. So if you're interested in witchcraft and want to become a witch, and are starting to research and learn, then you're a baby witch already! 😊💕

Im a Christian and I'm not a witch but I believe in things like energy from nature and things like that...moon water is something I've wanted to try for my acne,someone I've been dealing with a long time...I truly believe this will work for me🥰✨

@@xx-wiktoria-xx1894 this genuinely works, i've been trying it for a while.Im not sure about everyone but ive been keeping up with my diet and skin care rountine and been washing my face with the moon water as well as drinking, aswell as doing manifestations. It works for me and i hope i explained it right and it works for you:)

Can u make moon water only during full moon?? I’m really confused bc I see a lot of witches doing moon water anytime and some saying to make it only during full moon. I’m a baby witch and I am so confused...

Such a good question! You can make it at any moon phase! ✨ I'm of the opinion that different moon phases are best for different situations though, like I find the full moon very powerful, pure, and universal, whereas the moon water made by a waxing moon will be good for drawing things near and growing things, and the waning moon for banishing and removing things, and then the dark moon for shadow work, and the new moon for new beginnings. But honestly do what feels right to you! If you put your intentions in the water that you just want it to have the effect that you'd get from a full moon, it'll give you that effect. So if you just want water infused with the powers of the moon, you can do that at any stage, but if you think "I really want the influence of a certain moon phase for this" then do it at that phase. Yes, and if you want to make certain moonwater for the sign of the moon (the current 4-day full moon as i write this commentis a sagittarriususuis jdbudbuhdnoigihsihsnoifnos zijnsx too lazy to look up how to spell it--) like for Cancer moons and Leo moons, you can enhance certain spells with the different types of moonwater.

@@idkk1921 you can store it anywhere, but be mindful to cleanse the area you're going to store it in before you put it there. you could also make an alter for your moon water. if you're asking what container to store it in, most people just use mason jars or bottles, but it's best to use something that is transparent, and many witches believe keeping it away from the sunlight and in dark places is better for the moon water. and before you even put your water out overnight, be sure to first cleanse your container with incense :))

Michelle Keane Thanks for your support, I wanted to know if there are any side effects or anything I should know before performing something major? I don't want to do anything stupid that will risk my family. Does it depend on the performance?

@@deleted2423 some areas depend on your own beliefs, for example I avoid hexes or more negative spell work as I believe that the energy you give out will also come back to you, so I look for what I call "less invasive" solutions, such as binding instead of cursing. Always reflect and recognise the potential consequences of your actions. There are some areas of magic that are seen as more risky if you lack the proper protection, I can't really comment on these as I lack experience with them, but things such as working with spirits or the fae are known to be problematic areas when you walk into it blindly, so make sure you do your research and look before you leap and you'll be okay, plenty of witches are more than happy to offer advice on these areas if you're unsure. 😊 An area to research would be warding and protection which will help whenever you feel a situation is a bit off, I like to use energy or bubble wards but you can also use sigils, enchanted items and more. And don't forget to cleanse your space and tools which is another area to look into, don't want any residual energies mucking up your day! 😅 Anyway sorry for the long reply but I think that's all of the problem areas I can think of at this stage, I hope that helps! 😊💕

This really makes me miss being at home in germany where I could get on the (flat) roof of one of my grandma's houses. It was a special place for me as a kid (my family didn't know I would climb up there on occasion just to sit there and look around). I obviously do not advocate climbing onto a roof! It's dangerous on so many different levels. But in my case there was a safe spot in which I sat. I miss home so much, especially now getting into the craft I realize how much more in tune with nature I was there because I had the chance to walk around in the forest etc and the ability to go out and find things that were special. I can't do that at this time. I am hoping and setting all my energy into being able to go back home soon. Wish me luck please, it means the world to me and my family.

@@Eva-dv8me depends on your time zone 😅 you should be able to look up the exact moment of the full moon so that you can work out what night to do it. There's also some good moon phase calender apps that will tell you automatically. I hope that helps! 😊💕

How do you put your energy into the water?

Good question! I use a method called "energy visualisation". A common way to do this is to concentrate and visualise a white light flowing from you and into the water, and really see and feel it in your minds eye. This will actually create a transfer of energy to the water. They are other techniques as well, such as singing or dancing while focusing on the water, or anything that will build energy within you that you can guide to or release into the water by focusing on it. That's okay, it'll still work even if you can't see the moon, you could even leave it inside by a window and it'll still work 😊💕

I made moon snow water, and I’m so very excited to use it. I collected snowfall in a bucket, and the next day, we had a full moon! I put the snow into a Mason jar and left it under the full moon. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it yet, but I’m excited. Ha!

Hi, so I’m new I to this I saw that there’s a spell of beauty that it can make your skinn better or make you fell comfortable whit you so do i need to put crystals around my water my first language is not english ?

It's completely up to you as to what else you use with the water, but crystals would definitely help! I'm not sure exactly which ones you'd use but a lot of people use rose quartz for skin care. Hope it goes well! 😊💕

Depends on what you're using it for and where you put it. If you're using it for drinking or think it might get leaves etc in it and don't want that to happen, put a lid on it, otherwise you don't need to 😊💕

Aww thank you so much! I'm glad it helped! 😊 I don't usually cast a circle or a protection spell when doing this, and I don't cleanse because I usually do it outside in a safe area. (Although I do cleanse the containers and bowls! Just not the area) If I was doing it inside I would cleanse the area beforehand. This is entirely up to you though, if you don't feel comfortable leaving it without protection then by all means cast a protection spell, especially if there's going to be people walking past who might disrupt it, and the same goes with casting a circle. Depends on what you're using it for, for example take care if using it for drinking, but if it's just for ritual use and not cleaning etc then you can keep using it until it starts to grow algae etc. If properly stored in a cool, dry, and dark place, tap water can be considered safe for up to 6 months, but things like rain water, snow, and water from a natural source may start growing algae and such quicker. I tend not to use it for rituals after this occurs. I hope that helps! 😊💕

Hmm that's interesting, usually a headache during or after something like this means a warning for me. In this case I'd cleanse the area and probably give the water back to the earth (especially if you feel uneasy about using the water) It could also be that whatever you did took a lot of energy for some reason. In any case, go with your gut instinct on this and how to proceed. I hope that helps! 💕💕

Aww your welcome lovely! You can but some crystals aren't water safe and may release toxins or dissolve in water so make sure you double check before doing so! You can also cleanse your crystals by leaving them in the moonlight the same way as moon water, or sitting them in salt (but double check again that it's safe to do that with the crystal), using music/bells/music bowls, or burying them in earth. can you leave out a sealed water bottle? or does it need to be open or in a bowl etc? how long will the moon water keep its charge or energy?

You can definitely leave out a sealed bottle or container, it doesn't have to be open to work but I'll be more effective if the container is clear so it's in full view of the moonlight (but not necessary!) I tend to replenish mine every month, but as long as it's properly preserved and kept safe in a place where it won't be affected by other energies like the sun, you could keep it indefinitely as long as you're not consuming it. It really depends on the application, like you probably wouldn't use it for cleansing when it's growing algae, but it might still be good for your plants! The charge will remain as long as it's not affected by any other energies. I hope that helps! 😊💕

Is there any way to do it wrong? I've never caught a full moon when I have been able to have a use for it. (I've never tried anything related to this I just wanted to take the opportunity to make moon water because I think it would be cool and nice to have around.) I'm reading comments to make sure I do this right :)

There are ways to do it "wrong" but as a beginner or doing it from a surface level and using common sense (e.g. don't let it sit in a place you'll get it soiled) then you will most likely not get it wrong. I hope that helps! 😊💕

Hi, this might be a dumb question but do I have to cleanse the bottle I’m using? I know cleansing the materials you use is important, and that it should be done. But I live in a family where this like this isn’t seen as a good thing and I don’t have anything to cleanse my stuff with.

Cleansing can be as simple as washing the bottle 😊 I tend not to cleanse when making moon water besides making sure the vessel is free from dust, but it is good practice, just not completely necessary in this case. I hope this helps! 😊💕

sorry sorry I know this is besides the video but I saw ur bird and i gotta ask hope you dm but how do u light candles with ur birds? i was told that its harmful for them to smell it and so I haven't been able to use my candles indoors and the wind can sometimes getting annoying when its too strong

Yeah you don't want to use oil scents, smoke incense, or non soy candles around birds. I use them in a separate room with the door closed and the window open so it disperses quickly, but I also only use them sparingly. The room my birds are in is also the largest in the house and next to an exterior door so if there is a scented candle in their room for whatever reason I make sure it only burns very briefly away from them and with that exterior door open so they're getting mainly fresh air. Non scented soy and beeswax candles are supposed to be okay if you're looking for safe candles to burn. If the weather and housing situation permits, you could also let your bird have some designated outside time while you use scents inside and allow them to disperse before bringing them back in. I like to have the moonlight directly hitting the water but its up to your beliefs. My belief is that the energy of the moon is in the ambient air so it should work regardless of whether the window faces the moon or not. xx

That's up to whether you feel it's necessary. If you're making moon water inside or in a safe place outside with hardly any traffic then probably not, but trust your instincts on this, if you feel uneasy about leaving it unprotected then definitely add a protection sigil or something similar! You can store moon and sun water in a container away from direct sunlight, it doesn't have to be kept cold or anything. I tend to think that spells work best when people make them themselves and so I have a video on how to make spells, but if you're looking for some easy examples I'd recommend just looking up spells on the interest and looking for a mundane one like growing hair quicker or giving yourself more energy. Avoid anything that includes contacting other entities or doing harm and you should be okay as a beginner. I hope this helps! 😊💕

Always good practice to cleanse any containers before use in witchcraft 😊 To do this, you can physically clean it and then cleanse with water, incense, energy work or whatever your method of choice might be. The act of washing it with the intention of cleansing it should be enough as the light of the full moon is very good at cleansing anyway. I hope this helps! 😊💕

In my experience, eclipses are deeply magical and primal times. Treat them with caution as they may give your magic an extra oomph, but they are natural occurrences and I don't find an issue with them otherwise. There's not a set time but it's common for people to put it out after dusk and put it away before dawn as a lot of people don't want sunlight to touch it at all, but that's up to your beliefs. I tend to put it out when the moon is well and truly up and leave it out for a few hours before taking it back in, but that's because I leave mine outside. I hope that helps! 😊💕

I haven't tried using rubbing alcohol before but I think it might work, just be careful what you use the moon water for in that case. Another option is to seal it in an air tight container and replenish it frequently so that you don't have to preserve it. I hope that helps, good luck! 😊💕

As of right now, I just went with my gut making it, I watched your video but when I started it I just suddenly got the urge to do some extra things like add sea salt, boil it, etc. Set intentions and did some special things. I could use it for consumption as it stands but it would be super salty 😄 it looks really nice though, it gave it that slightly opaque-ish look, as if something is really suspended in it and it's just magickal. I had also set my wand out there last night. I know one should put it in a clearing technically, but I felt called to place it by the roots of the beautiful oak tree that gave me the branch for my wand. And the really weird thing is, I went to sleep at around 2 last night. I had looked up when the sunrise is and set an alarm for 6 in the morning to bring everything in. I was so sure I'd oversleep that alarm given I was so tired and fell asleep so late. But at 5:20 I shot up and sat in bed. So I figured I will bring my things in since that is the way I'm being pulled. It was really interesting. And chilly. Our massachusetts nights are getting quite chilly already. I love it.

It's good practice not to put them in your water (could damage the crystal, leach toxins, or be unhealthy for you) but if you leave the crystal beside your moon water that will charge the water with the energies of the crystal as well, so the crystal doesn't have to touch the water to charge it. It depends on what you believe. Some people believe that sunlight hitting your moon water will ruin it, but I honestly think it's fine, especially since it's been sitting in the moonlight all night, and moonlight is just reflected sunlight anyway. But in any case it's up to you, if you don't think it's okay then you can always wait until the next full moon and try again 😊💕

I don't find it rude at all, I feel that it's good you're open to trying these things out! You can do it without being a witch. I find being a witch to be a decision that you're going to live a lifestyle that includes witchcraft in your day to day life. While we learn the skills of witchcraft, the ability to perform it, especially for more simple things like making moon water, is inherent for everyone 😊💕✨

You could but the paper will probably dissolve and leave your water a little gross 😅 I'd recommend drawing with whiteboard markers on the container if you're using glass or something similar, or leaving the paper with sigils near your water instead as it doesn't have to be in contact with the water to work. Yeah I tend to take it in once I've woken up regardless of the sun, but some people believe that the sunlight will remove some of the moon's energies and replaces it with solar energies or cancel it out so it's not as potent, but it depends on what you believe! I hope that helps! 😊💕

That's all perfectly okay! Different moons can be useful for giving the water different properties, but you can make normal moon water with them as well. Any chant or intention setting that feels right to you will work. I hope this helps! 🥰💕

I NEED HELP I didnt cleanse my jar or protect it on the blue moon and left my water out like that and people told me I strapped in ghost and bad stuff in my water so it’s basically ghost water that consisted for bad stuff I’m scared I didn’t want to strap in bad stuff all I wanted was for healing and spells and for my skin

If you feel the water has been affected I would probably return it to the earth and cleanse the jar. You could try salvaging it with a cleansing ritual but if you feel uncomfortable with it then don't use it. I usually feel safe enough to leave my moon water out fairly unprotected but I only do it at my home which is closely integrated with my magic and only on nights that feel safe, as I feel the light of the moon is very powerful and protective on these nights. Some people may have different experiences with this though. I hope it works out okay! 😊💕
