1.Confront the beast-If you are afraid of calling people, you’ll never get over it until you actually start calling people. Ignoring it will never make it go away, you must confront your fear.
2.Set the intention- Make sure to set your intention right at the beginning of your pitch. You have to set that hook immediately and let the customer know where both of you stand. You have to make it past that first 15 seconds
3.Be concise-There’s no time to chit chat, get to the point. I don’t want anyone asking me about the weather, it’s a waste of my time. If you’re not concise you will be irritating.
4.Call to action-Do you have a call to action, are you working off a script? Success rewards preparation.

God... The Beast line was great through out the call. I'll struggle as a "sprayer" my whole life but a few weeks ago, sat quite for 10 solid minutes at an exec meeting while they sold them selves. (deal closed)

the people I work with are very hard buys it takes weeks just to close one hot lead and thousands of calls to generate some simple interest but these tips from GC have helped me be a better person on the phone and already had some results we have an in person deal were gonna close tomorrow that I generated the interest picked the company out of a phone book and called the guy up asked for his business no lead list or auto dialer truly a cold call

Fucking love these... disagree w/ the "hard entrance" . The "how you doin" line gives me instant insight into personality in my opinion. When I get the "good" , then I dive into the hard call. If I hear the "Good, and you" , that usually means they have enough time to atleast hear my shit.

Grant, you are giving some powerful advice! I totally get what you mean about being the engineer in the sales process where your objective is to connect those points. It's spot on when you said it's your responsibility to connect both pieces. I'm all over this in my real estate development and investment business - SmartGrowth.co/ - would love to rift about this one day. Just some hard hitting feedback, man to man who both value accountability, I'd tone down the cultural and gender comments. It's a fine line between trying to be funny and offensive. For example, the "dot" inferences for the Malaysian dude, wanting to know if his sister is hot and robots not having to pray five times a day. These could definitely be taken the wrong way to a large amount of people. Doesn't seem to be controversial in the good sense. Regardless, I think you are doing some solid work in the world! We just need as many conscious and wealthy leaders as possible especially those with a platform.
