In this tutorial I explain my process for creating mountain landscapes in epic games' unreal engine 5. We start by sculpting our terrain with the free tools built into unreal engine, then we create our landscape material in the material editor, and finally we use the landscape brushes to paint in our textures. can you export some of this geometry as a prefab for another level, after complete? or is it only for that map instance?

man i wanna do this, but in a grid format, so i can load it in small blocks incrementally in an older engine. that way i don't blow the pipe/buffer and lock up the game on startup. (is what i've said possible?)

put your material you just made into your landscape material underneath landscape instance. I had the same problem and that fixed it for me
