I feel you I had trouble here too & also make sure your glue or whatever solution your using is bonding right with the sawdust cause I’ve tried it with regular Elmer’s glue and it was very unsuccessful also you may need to get your hands dirty but rolling it into a ball as you go along with the process tightens the sawdust I get what you mean though

@@docolemnsx You know I use to mix the sawdust with wood glue to make a paste. The texture didn’t look as good though as compared to the layer method. Also mixing the sawdust and glue into a paste uses like 10 times the amount of sawdust and glue then the layer method does.

@@Civibivi Yea, at a state level. You still have to follow what is considered to be a firework at the federal level lol. Otherwise you are creating an explosive device that you haven't paid taxes for which could result in you dog getting shot by the ATF. They are very serious about they're money they just broke into a mans house and killed him in front of his wife over 200 bucks a few weeks ago.

Before you let the wood glue settle try using a blow dryer (warm temp ) to not dry the glue but speed up the drying process so it holds its shape

@@Pyromorty Thanks my number 1 issue is that when I dip it in glue or roll it on glue the glue rips off the previous layers I already put on. I know I'm asking a lot of you, but it would be really cool to see a tutorial focused on putting the layers on. I'd really like to see how you do it from start to finish.

@@WilsonBrown144 when I make the next couple I’ll make sure to film that part it’s just a little difficult with glue on your hands I understand you bro don’t even worry so what I can tell you is 1 Check your saw dust is it wet what kind of wood is it also you don’t necessarily need wood glue I’ve heard sodium silicate bonds well too you can purchase a bottle (liquid) on eBay I’ve never used that method so do your research 2 the goal is a sphere form roll it with your hands once it becomes a nice solid ball the rest is easy as far as sawdust coming off I’ve had this issue & I just adjust the shape with my hands the process of rolling it takes long and is not a clean method unless you had a electrical mill I do not I use a coffee can make sure you fuse after the drying process to avoid the fuse getting a bit wet fully drying could take 24-48 hrs

@@Pyromorty I've actually used real sodium silicate before, however it doesn't seem much different from the wood glue (in terms of bonding with sawdust and making cherries). You have to wear gloves when using sodium silicate because it is a mild skin irritant. Getting it on your skin is similar to getting hydrogen peroxide on your skin.

@@Pyromorty I think since it is already made of wood glue it won’t increase shrapnel chance too much also I’ve seen big firecrackers with plastic plugs the only thing I am concerned about is that it’s going to be hard to punch through the plastic so I may need to buy softer plastic filament
