I'm a long time crafter and a die queen! I have all sorts of dies that cut tabs. They are not expensive either. I refuse to buy punches. Well done with your ideas fo those who don't have dies. TFS!

Thank you Tina. Yeah I'm with you on not paying the ridiculous price people are asking for the whale tail punch! An Ebay seller is asking for $75.00!!!! That's highway robbery!!!! I've been using the envelope maker to make my tabs and round scalloped punch too. I like your idea on the circle punch and marking it. That's a good tip. Tfs. GOD Bless and be well.

Love the ideas for making tabs. Beautiful tags too! Tabs would be a great mass making. Could even hole punch one edge to make a place to hang a small charm.

I'm in the US and I just happened to luck into getting the whale tail punch for just a few dollars. However, I love the punch you made with the scalloped edges. It can be decorated in so many ways. Thank you for sharing with us. I love it!

What an Awesome idea using punches for making tabs, absolutely love your idea, Tina! You could also use the envelope punch board to make tabs but I love the idea with the circle punches better lol! TFS! Hoping you and yours are well! Take Care X

OK, I'm 6 minutes in & I have got to say YOU'RE A GENIUS! Like you I refuse to pay for a Tab Punch, this is just pure genius! Thank you so much x Edit: I've watched all the way through now & I still think it's brilliant. I only have a circle punch but I do have dies which I think will work just fine. I feel your pain for being clumsy, I'm so cack-handed that I'm forever making things harder than they need to be. Growing up I held the nick-name 'Calamity Jane'! x

Great job! I really like that scalloped oval one. I don’t have a tab punch either and when I went to EBay to see if they had one of the retired whale tail punches.....$68.00!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I do have the 1” round and the corner rounder so I’ll give it a try. Thanks Tina.

Hi Tina, a little tip for you... when you want a crinkly bow, this is how I do it... Use cheap pva glue... Put the ribbon in your hand, add pva until it’s all coated, scrunch it up then put a rubber band around it, then leave it 24 hours until properly dry, as the middle maybe still wet, or put on top of a heat source, I use radiator when they’re on... When dry unravel it and voilà, beautiful crickly ribbon... There is another way to make it look like it’s been around for years too... I’ve been doing these methods for years, not for jj as only just starting on those... But I use faded and crinkley ribbons for my Christmas decorations to make them look vintage

You asked what we think, and I think you are brilliant and so inspiring. Thanks for all the great tutorials and now to try out tabs! Someone below commented that the scalloped tab looks like a sea shell and I was thinking a vintage apron and add ribbon across the top for the apron ties.

Would love to see a mass make. I do something similar with a 2” circle for the base shape and a 1” circle for the corners...you can also add eyelets for charms....

Nice variety of tabs! I don't have oval punches, but I've cut with a circle punch than used scalloped scissors to cut around half the edge. I kinda prefer lace or fabric as a tab, but then I'm a newbie! 😏 TFS 🤗

I love these, especially the scalloped edged one - need to buy the punch as I am making a sea/mermaid journal called Seacrets, so would be perfect for the tabs.

Tina, this is a better way to do tabs than that We R Memory punch. I bought it (Ebay) I thought it was a whale tail type and it's not. So disappointed with it. Thank you for this tutorial! Perfect timing!♥️

These are adorable...I have something that is called a “Tag Punch”...it makes punches that are rounded on the ends...I usually punch them out and fold them in half as tabs... I have a “Punch Board” that I purchased for around $11 but, I prefer the “Tag Punch”...the idea of using the circular punch to enhance the corners is spectacular...I will have to try it...thank you for sharing this... ❤️❤️❤️

Hey, this was a great idea. I cut mine larger then cut them in half to give me 2 tabs and just cut the shape to perfection. Thank you for this idea.

Try using the Tab file punch board from "We R memory keeps" much cheaper .I love using my board to make tabs.

Depending what angle you put it in the circle punch it can look vastly different each side. I think the tab punch is worth it if you make lots of tabs.

Could you round the edges of the top with the opposite side of the round punch. Just push the paper in a bit farther.

Love starting the day off with you, Tina. ❣️❣️But, I do hope you’re not getting overwhelmed and burned out with so many videos. We can skip a couple of days so you can have a breather and just rest. Hope your vertigo has cleared up. I get it, periodically, no rhyme or reason, but it makes me very sick and I have to lay flat for hours or I vomit from the spinning. Oh, sorry, too much info😂😂😂

Oh I really do empathise, the vertigo is really horrible isn’t it? I know what you mean, I feel like I need to just spend a day laying down to shake it off completely, but I just can’t bring myself to miss out on all the fun we have crafting x
