As a colorist for 25+ years, I would suggest you put the color in a shampoo not the conditioner. The conditioner is designed to close down the cuticle of the hair meaning the color you add will just sit on the hair. On the other hand, with any shampoo out there, the products will actually cause the hair to swell a little bit and open the cuticle, allowing that color to actually penetrate the hair shaft just a little bit. So shampoo once with regular shampoo, then do a second one with the colored shampoo and leave on 5 min. rinse and then condition to close down the cuticle. You should find better results using this method.
