How To Make Perfect Fondant Icing in Nigeria | Weather Friendly Fondant Icing Recipe.
This fondant icing recipe is a cake icing that can stand any weather.
INGREDIENTS (Method 1)
500g Icing Sugar
1/2 tablespoon Gelatine
1 teaspoon CMC
1 tablespoon liquid glucose
60ml water
INGREDIENTS (METHOD 2)
500g Icing Sugar
Egg white(2 small eggs)
1 teaspoon CMC
1 tablespoon liquid glucose
#FondantIcing #CakeIcing

I tried the gelatin recipe last night, it was my first attempt at fondant making. It came out beautiful. I was so excited. Thank you so much. I don't think I'll be doing Butter icing again.

Thank you so much ma'am. I did the gelatin method, I let it stay for 12 hrs and knead it with crisco shortening. The result was good, and my wedding cake was dried without sweating.

Hi Ada. Nice one I have a few questions please 1. Instead of directly putting the glucose syrup in the egg white fondant, can we melt it with water using a double boiler method? If we can, what quantity of water do we use? 2. After mixing fondant, must we allow it to rest for a while before use? 3. How do we fix a non stretchy fondant? 4. Is it cmc or gelatin that makes fondant stretchy? Hope to hear from you as soon as possible. Thank you

For the egg white method you don't need to melt the glucose. It's advisable you leave the fondant to rest for a while before use. For the egg white method adding CMC and a little bit of white egg could fix non stretchy fondant. For the gelatine method melted gelatine helps fix non stretchy. fondant.

I learnt to always wait for 10mint to allow the gelatin dissolve before placing it on hot water and also allow the mixture of gelatin & glucose to cool before use. Also wait for 24 hr before using the fondant on cake. Thanks so much.but my fondant do sweat . Is it as a result of not waiting ? Can I get raining season recipe?
