A couple of notes -

- I'm seeing a lot of complaints that the dough comes out too wet. This is because your butter was too soft. While these cookies are classified as 'no chill', if the butter is too soft the dough will not be right (the recipe itself can only work SO much magic!) If your dough feel soft, sticky or doesn't look the same as in the video, your best bet is to chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes - 1 hour.

Just made it while watching you. Super easy and very good cookies. For anyone else cooking at a high altitude needs to cook about 15 minutes per batch.

I’ve always used the same recipe but decided to try a new one so I tried this. I love this recipe, they came out perfect!! She has links to her recipe on the description. I did have to add more flour (probably about half a cup more) but that is very common with baking so that did not bother me. I will be using this recipe now moving forward. Thank you so much for sharing!

Gave this recipe a go today and it baked up great, didn't need to stray from the recipe at all. I used a stand mixer which went well - made sure not to over mix. Very tasty cookies and we can't wait to bake another batch to decorate. They did rise and spread the slightest bit, so not sure how that will affect the royal icing tomorrow but we will see :) Thank you.

You’re blog says one egg and one egg yolk but in the video you use 2 eggs. Which method do you suggest?

Guess I need to try this recipe. I have used 2 different ones, and they won't roll at all. They come out sticking to me! Hoping you would have mentioned how long and what temp setting to bake them, though.

What were the measurements on the Salt & Baking Powder? Were those teaspoons? As in, 1 tsp.?

Dough was wet. Had to add another 1/2 cup flour. I didn't want it to spread, because I needed to decorate it.

Are these cookies a hard cookie or a soft one? I wanted to send some decorated ones overseas they could be in transit up to a couple of weeks so I’m concerned if they are too soft they might disintegrate before they arrive at their destination. I assume when you add baking powder they are more of a cakey cookie? They do look nice though 😊

Hi there! They are more of a soft cookie, yes. I've shipped them across states and they held up fine; the cookies become more sturdy once you have a layer of royal icing on. Still, I'm not sure how they would hold up with international shipping. :)

I’ll make them because they look so good and I’ll box them, throw them around a bit like they’re travelling in the air and keep them in the box for about 3 weeks then open and see if they’re in good shape. probably 350 degrees or 375 degrees, but I usually bake at 375 degrees

350° is the best temp for baking cookies. 350° up in the Mountains, too! I learned that the HARD way when I lived in Northern Virginia! ... Lol.... Now I live in Midwest (Ozarks)....when in doubt, ALWAYS set it at 350°😁😉

How many grams of butter do you use?

That would be about 338 grams butter (1 cup = 225 grams)

Have tried the recipe 3 times and my dough always comes out very sticky and I end up adding much more flour. The taste is good, but I feel the cookie is really dense after all the flour I had to add

You might need to change your flour I use King Arthur flour every time I use another flour my dough turns out sticky King Arthur and white lily the best two flours out there can't always find white lily that's why I only mention the King Arthur flour at first . Happy cookie making 🫓🫓🫓🫓

Why use the cutting board for rolling your dough? You have the perfect surface under there....looks like marble or granite to me. That's ideal for rolling. Ummmm

Jaimie Madison no, it was soft. I live in Alaska so I had to microwave it even after sitting all day and night on the counter. Maybe it was too soft? But there was no puddles or anything

If anyone made this recipe to exact specifications, the dough will be wet. It's not the butter. The measurements are off. I switch to another recipe that used cold butter. For this recipe you need extra flour, if not it sticks to your hands. Forget about even rolling it.

Ya, I asked her about measurements and being "more specific"; I've been baking a LONG time, so I kind of know how to do it, but some people I see on here, are blogging that it's their " first time!".... Only thing I would change, is using "unsalted" butter, since she added Salt to the batter. And Bake in 350° Oven. She didn't mention that, either. And I wasn't sure if she was using a "1 teaspoon," a 1/2 tsp., etc. I'm assuming it was a FULL teaspoon. 🤔

I didn’t found the ingredients quantities !? Even on your blog ....in general people write them in the video or under the boxe reviews ...so will try another recipes so disappointed cuz they look nice your cookies

You can do without the music it was rather monotonous and then I noticed in your updated version you don’t even talk at all. And you may not want to use white font with a white marble background

Ummm....don't you chill the dough a bit before rolling? Ummm....most recipes say to chill it before using cookie cutters so the cut out is not so soft and plyable.....ummmm

If you don’t like the way she speaks, find someone whose elocution fits your standards....there’s dozens of recipes and presenters online. I just wasted my time watching this video. Looks pretty simple but it would’ve been helpful to at least mention the measurements for each ingredient. I clicked on the link but that wasn’t helpful at all because I could not find (after scrolling to the bottom) the written recipe. You don’t even mention how long to bake and/or at what degree. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

You say "umm" a lot. Why overwork your wrist and hand with a hand mixer? Invest in a stand mixer.
