You can do it! I made a ton of mistake with my listings on Etsy. But you will learn as you go, and the more you "go" the more you grow! It can be scary doing something for the first time, but after a couple of time, it will get much easier. If you need any help, please reach out to me. My challenge for you is to create one personalized listing with the simple goal of having the listing up on your shop. Don't focus on getting a sale from it, or how to process the order right now. I want you first just to take one design, list it as a personalized item with the goal of seeing a personalized item visible in your shop. From there, you will learn the step by step process of going from "idea" to "planning" to "creating" then to "listing". Once you understand the process of doing this, selling demanding products that personalized will be an easy task. Just curious: I heard news about etsy banning some countries from having shops opened on their platform and Nigeria is one of them. Well im watching from Nigeria and i wanted to know how true this is. P.S iM AN ABSOLUTE NEWBIE. THANKS JAY

Hi David, I am not familiar with the countries that cannot sell on Etsy. However, I believe selling on platforms like Fiverr or Canva could be a better option if you are having those issues. Some of the strategies I teach can be used on Fivver since it is a search-based market. I hope this helps.

Jay, I love the video. Just one question, is it best to use printify mockups or create them in canva? If we create them, how do we get the hole in ornament & make it look like it has the loop going through the hole? Thanks

Thanks for your question. I like to create my product mockup pictures in Canva, as this will give me the opportunity to create templates to upload my design. You can use a drag an drop mockup photo that will add the ornament hole when you add your design. Do the customers enter the personalization at printify when they order and it's handled over there? Or do you have to update the template with thèir name then send to printify? I'm new to pod. Thx

Thank you for your question. You will need to create this as a personalized listing on Etsy. This will allow the customer to add their personalization text in the order so that you know what to add to the product. From there, you will need to change your template with the personalized text from the order. When you get a personalized order from Etsy (if you have Printify connected to your Etsy shop), this order will be flagged in Printify in the "OTHER ORDERS" tab, which you will then add the personalized text to the order. You can do this manually or use additional tools to automate this process.
