A few of you have been asking where I come from. I was born and raised in Cameroon (Central Africa) and I moved to the US close to 10 years ago.

@@melissa5324 .I used to watch soap crushing asmr with my daughter when she was just a few months old .Then I stumbled across a @apowderymess and @katecometcrunch videos and just fell in love.I also think my anemia contributed to my love for gym chalk.

This was perfect! Cornstarch works well too, but I love baby powder because it's more light and crisp, and easy to crush. Especially if you have carpal tunnel or joint pain. I also love to add a little bit of calcium carbonate for creaminess. And it helps keep my bigger reforms from cracking.
@pearlyasmr-sand91383 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the lovely tips.I have zero experience with calcium carbonate, but ill give it a try.
@ASMRFAMILIA3 жыл бұрын
@@pearlyasmr-sand9138 if you just add a handful or about the same ratio you would for baby powder, it really adds something special to the texture. I make my mixes and put about a handful of baby powder and a handful of calcium carbonate. So good. 🤍

Baby powder in the US is now made from cornstarch because people got scared of talc. I think they coat the cornstarch with something but I like using it in mixes because it's less likely to mold. Talc (lab made) is wonderfully soft but doesn't mix well and takes a long time to dry.

Very true calcium carbonate is chalk I think many have forgotten you can buy calcium and magnesium carbonate on Amazon that we don’t need to do the work for blending/squashing etc
@colaasmr76843 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing. I shared this page, because I have a lot of people ask me how I do certain things pertaining to gym chalk. I always give them advice on how I would do it and also tell them what you’ve told me in the past. This is why you’re the greatest 😘😊

Pearly you are amazing. Thank for this. I've been struggling with my reforms and I don't want to throw out my powders. So I will try your tutorial! ❤

Since you have to make so many reforms I suggest you get a 5 gallon bucket paint mixer (on Amazon) that u put on a drill. That way you put your powder in a bucket, add water, and mix so u don't have to use so much time hand mixing.
