It needs an ON/OFF switch so you don't have to manually press the wires to the contacts. This was an excellent build -- thank you for posting this and showing us this powerful water pump! 👍🏼

Very interesting, but there's a concern about the water getting inside the motor and ruining it in time... I suggest placing a rubber seal (possible made out of silicon between the motor shaft and the cavity). That way water wont get inside the motor.

Can you provide some pressure (psi, bar, etc.) ratings for this pump? Maybe you could connect a sprayer wand to the unit and put a pressure guage inline and let us know what sort of pressure this pump can produce? Thank you.

This little pump is a gimmick really. It cannot lift water out of a well or septic tank. Its only capable of lifting water a few inches, as seen in the video (which is why such a short pipe is used). In other words, _it's impractical_

@@PajuneI tried making a couple of them, with disappointing results. Finally I bought a cheap 12 volt pump on the Internet (yes, made in China, no brand label) which is rated at 900 litres per hour and use it in my garden septic tank "drainfield". It's functioned amazingly well for about 12 months so far, lifting clear fluid (with no residue) from 1.5 metres below ground level to the surface. I run it via an electric timer switch for about 60 minutes every few days depending on drainage requirements.

You can improve pressure by adding 2 or 3 impaler. It could also improve suction.

You could also use washers and make a cork screw pattern all the way up the tube. Cut the washers and bend them slightly.

That is because you didn't put the pump in the water for the first time, then you can raise it up. After that it will work properly !
