Hello friends, in this video, you will learn how to make puff puff with only 3 ingredients. Self rising flour, sugar and water less than 10 minutes. No need of yeast and salt.
Ingredients
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- warm water
- In small bowl, add flour, sugar.
- Add warm water gradually mix thoroughly or until you get the perfect consistency.
Preparation
- in large deep pan, add enough oil for deep fry at medium heat.
- when the oil is hot enough, test by dropping a small dough.
- use your hands, grab a little bit of dough mixture at time and drop in oil.
- let it cook 1-3 minutes each side or until golden and brown. Repeat this process again.
- remove the puff puff, place it in paper to observe excess oil.
- You can also use ice scream scoop to grab the dough and drop.
If you live in area where you can’t get self rising, you can make your own self rising.
- For 1 cup all purpose flour.
- add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 salt

The self rising flour contains: sodium and baking powder so it’s no need to add yeast. All you have to add is water and sugar, you can use some flavor like cinnamon or vanilla extract. You use yeast only if you are using all purpose flour. Thanks for watching, feel free to ask any questions.
