Superhero power! So you're not wrong on the graham crackers, Emmy. I bought a family pack of the name brand because it was on sale and was SHOCKED at the size difference! Me and mine actually prefer the store brand, so we had some of them still on hand. The difference is surprisingly large! I'm sticking with my Kroger grahams. Oh, and the reason they do that with the packaging and product is to increase profit margin while making shoppers *think* they're getting the same thing. You'll notice it everywhere if you look. Soups are 12oz instead of 15, your oyster crackers, cereals, chips, etc. And I love you dearly, but ranch dressing is beyond vile and I just can't with these two recipes! LOL

I grew up on eating ranch oyster crackers. I'm from SC, and I have vivid memories of my mom making a gallon size bag of them. When my friends would come over, they would love to snack on them. My mom didn't bake the crackers, she just shook all the ingredients in a bag and serve as is. I don't know where she got the recipe from, but thanks for bringing up a childhood memory.

I agree about the size of the crackers. Also, animal crackers (Barnum's) don't taste the same or have the same texture. That warm vanilla flavor is, in my opinion, not present anymore and they're more crisp rather than slightly shortbread like. I like ranch, but the bears do not look very appetizing haha.

I don't really like it either. But I did try it with pizza once since I have friends that always must have ranch with their pizza. It was okay. I have to say, some ranch dressing from a bottle is super disgusting and some is better. Hidden Valley is a better one. The kind you mix the envelope with real mayo and buttermilk is better than bottled too.
